Cool-weird eggslicer.
Nothing can deter you from Ricenbackers once you've been bitten by the bug! It starts with just - "What's the deal with Rickenbackers, why do they have such a cult like following?" - Then it's - "That looks like a good deal, maybe I will try one after all." - And then - "I need more Rickenbackers to make a good comparison." - And finally - " MUST HAVE ALL THE RICS!!!!!!!
As far as I know, there is no cure.

As the guitarist of my last band stated this morning: "how is it possible you can still clearly hear each note in an open chord with this much distortion?". The 620 has a lot of clarity but also warmth in its tone and seems to share characteristics with both single coil models like the strat/tele and humbuggers like the Les Paul. This makes it have a sound all its own. It seems to have hit a home run with my friend, who owns and plays dozens of guitars... I knew I was on to something.

But seriously, I owned a Ric480 model guitar years ago and that has the exact same woods and pickups. Also shares much of the tonal characteristics. I wanted that sound back and think the 620 is one awesome looking guitar. 480 models are now priced much higher so the 620 it is.

The newest active bass will be my Steinberger Spirit XT-25 when I install this EMG 81-8XH ceramic magnet humbucker in the bridge position-

And it’s similarly-covered Alnico V magnet single coil hum-canceling pickup, the 85-8XH, in the neck position-

About to add a fifth member to my active instrument family so, having noted the astronomical price of a single Energizer Lithium 9v battery (only ones not supposed to leak like alkaline ones do), I decided to go with Lithium Ion rechargeable 9 v batteries-

Have you tried them before?
May I ask you where you bought them? Gracias. :)

Not tried them but they have good reviews- however I’ve been using Fujitsu NiMh AA and AAA rechargeable batteries with good results.

Amazon but they have their own website sales-
