@Nachobassman It tok me only minutes to decide for the RAT. You can get the tones of both pedals very close together but the RAT is easier to tame at high gain settings. The Electro Harmonics blubbers and hisses much more.

The Adamovic showroom/workplace is about 25 miles from where I live. Was always gonna pay them a visit but never got round to it.
Their instruments are really nice! I sold an SWR Henry cab to someone who brought his Adamovic Halo along, the thing weighed next to nothing and played like butter.

Nice! I love how the RAT can be subtle or ÜBER-nasty but (almost) never muddy, and if you mix a dirt signal with a clean bass it’s killer.

@DiMarco yah I remember you saying that. The weight and ease of playing with these is amazing. You know about my nerve issues, so a 7lb/3.2kg bass will be great for me

@PizzaFiend yah once I played one I had to get it. Never had a true custom bass before, and probably won’t ever again.

After replacing bent pivot posts with steel ones fabricated by Bernd Meissner out of Germany, come to find out the spring post was bent as well. Along with the fact that the steel spring post replacement was pricey, though a viable solution, and that the bridge would easily come unlocked, I wanted a better solution. That’s when I found out about MGR-Design’s all steel (with the exception of tungsten carbide pivot points) replacement bridge for the original R-Trem which lacks the more robust metallurgy of the carbon fiber era Steinberger bridges-
