2011 product catalog!

Well it takes more weight in the body to counterbalance the weight of the neck (my Bubinga Vette is heavier than my Thumb); and Thumbs have such a small body...I'm just hoping the asian BO will balance better, because the 1st thing most ppl say about these basses is "nice tone, awful neckdive" and solving this isuue will really raise their popularity. Plus I need a backup bass for my German Thumb BO at a considerably lower price ;)
 
The new Pro Series Thumb BO might be a cool bass, but the maple neck will have its influence... It wont sound like the BO we're used to. I'm not saying it's a bad thing. It will just be a different animal.

wow thats expensive esp for a rockbass. i dont need to spend that kind of money esp when the acoustic bass's purpose for me is to play with out playing loud thru a amp. like in front of my tv (always practice). ill just stick with my ibanez. its a nice 5 string acoustic.
 
i cant wait to see the price for the P-nut rockbass, i hope its just a lil more expensive than a reg rockbass or around the same price

On another note, I'm very curious about the Artist prices myself...are these still RBs, or a completely different branch? I didn't understand too well from that little info...
 
They are NOT Rockbasses. Rockbasses are made in china. These are "Artist Series", and I reckon they're made in Korea, just like the Pro Series. I might be wrong though.
 
If that's the case, then their prices will probably be around the ones of the Pro series...I was expecting this judging from the specs...but maybe...just maybe... ;) :)
 
if thats the case then its prob not much cheaper than buying a real warwick. cause you know the artist name will add a few pennys. and if so they should have added some better inlay work for the p-nut
 
is the bootsy artist still a neck-thru or could it be a printing failure?
 
I love the new stuff. Was upset at first about the Thumb Bo now having a maple neck! but beggers cant be choosers, and im skint!

Any idea on prices for the Thumb Bo Pro?

this is a real overhaul of how warwick does business. I think we will no longer be guys who play a lesser known brand but be they guys (and girls) who got in early on a big player. Huge range, sig series, plus CS. This catalogue looks like a very serious marketing push.
I really cant see how people are whinging: not one german wick was removed from the list, the thumb BO was upgraded, a single cut semi hollow was added, a whole korean range was added, lots more RBs and pros which means that people without huge chunks of cash can play good interments. This is vitally important, people need to be able to get a nice ax in their hands for a fair price, more kids playing good basses, more people being able to afford wick and rb quality means more people falling in love with playing music. And if you dont think that people falling in love with this artform we all share is the most important thing then there is something wrong with you, I hope everyone thinks your CS SSII is a rockbass. *thats what peeps are afraid of isn't it?
 
Yup. Creating and selling basses for all pockets is the way to go nowadays, all brands should understand this. The new RBs look very cool; before there was a significant difference between them and the German W; now, the RBs really start to evolve into a niche of their own and it's cool to watch it happening. I've also owned a lot of Asian basses, so I couldn't care less about where the instrument was made - it's not like every single brand has its own factory, you know, so some are made in the same facility, by the same people ;) I know some ppl will kill me for this...but I'm waiting for a RB Thumb next year ;) It would be interesting to see how much difference the woods will make ;)
 
Since all I've heard about the Korean built, pretty positive, I'll take the Vampyre...I have no problem owning an alder body vamp, no way in hell I can afford the real deal over $5k...the black would provide a nice backdrop to some graphics to add.
I won't buy a carolina body bass, I think that's the one you can dig you nail into it and leave a mark. Not for me.


"more kids playing good basses" = keeps kids and newbies inspired. I would have quit a long time ago if it wasn't for my Corvette, a really good bass (or guitar) inspires the player. (I had some bad luck that really got me down before I found my 'vette...it kept me going.)

The new pricelist is available so you can see for yourself. Artist P-Nuts are $2400 for 4-string or $2500 for 5. (Those are MSRPs - the street prices will, of course, be lower).

Am I right in thinking these Artist and Pro Series Streamers will be sculpted like the German ones? That was one thing that put me off the Rockbass Streamers - their slab bodies compared with the cool curves of the German Streamers.

Unfortunately there isn't a Korean Vampyre yet. But given the way things are going, there surely will be one before long.

Yeah, I've checked the pricelist...tbh it's dissapointing...especially regarding the Artist Series and RBs.
 
We don't make entry level basses. Don't expect "Squier" prices....

Both the Korean Warwicks and the Rockbasses are of a very good quality... You cannot buy a bass like that with 200 EUR. I don't think you actually want a 200 EUR bass :-)


Cheap basses is not our business. It is the W on the headstock. You don't expect a Mercedes AKlasse to cost like a Daewoo Matiz, do you?
