2011 product catalog!

You guys cant treat these new korean basses as 'rockbass' All warwick did was expand their production to another country. I played one of these newer corevettes from korea and they are on part with german warwicks. Im pretty sure these new pro series and artists series will be great bass for the $$.

And trust me, within a year well see a lot of 2nd hand basses that will be a steal. You guys know how well our warwicks depreciates...
 
Wow, I just took a look at the pricelist... prices are sky rocketing. My $$ costs 200 euros more than last year, every Thumb BO (4, 5, 6 strings) cost 300 euros more (and bubinga isn't much more expensive than ovangkol, looking at CS options). Jeez, I feel relieved.
 
I'm just wondering if the artist series P-Nut and Pro-series Streamer LX and Thumb BO are similar to the regular Warwick models with the curved and contoured bodies, or if they're more akin to the Rockbass brand with a slap body with tummy cut and upper arm contour. Anyone know?

I really don't want to start an argument about prices (for the record: what I said earlier has nothing to do with the current dumping price of the older RBs). It's just that my options for this year have just changed because of it. That's all.

damn 2500 for the 5 string. well i guess 2 grand is better than 6-7 that i've seen the german one going for. i agree i hope the artist isnt a block of wood like the rockbasses. but at 2500 i doubt it will be.

Anyone gonna go for the Artist series signatures? I do love the Adam clayton one and for £1500 retail, that'l probably go down to 1200 in the shops right?

Aw crap, well, when i can afford a vamp theyll be korean

I cant dig my nail into my bubinga bass....that thing is tough. Isnt the carolina a type of pine? Soft wood.

You have tried digging your nails into your bubinga Corvette? Why? You crazy woman!!! :lol:

Yeah, carolina is a type of pine I think, so would be softer than bubinga. I have to admit, I haven't tried gouging holes in many of my basses ;) but I think it would be possible with a lot of different types of wood.
 
I wish the Zender artist basses were available with 5 strings!

Looking forward to trying out the Pro Thumb 5; very curious as to how it will compare to my Thumbs (NT 5 and Dirty Blonde 4). Could be a nice addition to my arsenal :d
 
Did anyone notice that the NT models come with flight cases? and bolt-ons get the gig bags.
 
oh my bad thought in the US everything came with the gig bags.
 
it says tobacco finish for the p-nut in the catalog and nirvana burst for the pricelist hmmm i hope the catalog is right and not the pricelist. i prefer the tobacco color over the black.

Are you sure? Things used to be different for Europe - when I last looked it was only Europe that got cases - the rest of the world got gigbags for everything.
 
Rockcases being VERY heavy, it must be cheaper to ship basses around the world in gigbags.
 
uhm yeah, sometimes I forget you people are living on the other side of the earth... ;)
 
To be honest, Rockcases are quality stuff and they protect our basses very well during transport and shipping. But man, they are WAY too heavy to be carried around. Mine have never gone out of my room. I'd rather have my basses delivered in a sturdy Rockbag... But for a CS bass, it can be a bit dangerous somehow, you never know what could happen during shipping.

I think moves like that are great, interventions to help with ergonomic issues. And it happened in two different lines, both the German BO and the Pro Series one. Plus now you can pick from two different high quality Thumb BOs. ;)

haahahahahah!!!!!!! yeah i am crazy. It's a tough wood. I was bad, i dug a nail into a carolina rockbass at GC & left a mark...not a wood I'd want.
I'm bad, I'm clumsy sometimes with my bass...whack oops...hit the headstock on something all the time lol...a pine body would be THRASHED in my care and not on purpose!

where's the price list?
