U2 - Adam Clayton with Warwick - live!

It is a passive bass, but with bass and treble controls :-)

You're talking about the Streamer now, Florin? And the Rekyrts with one pick up?

It has two controls and a switch. Volume, tone and you talked about a capacitor switch. Something to make the sound fatter/brighter? More or less coils?

Anyone? Make a Clayton bass out of this.

Any info on this advert Flo? When might they be available for sale? What might be the cost for one? What would be the specs on a signature release of this bass?

Me wants a bigger size of the pic !!!

Looks like the cat's outta the bag now.
The future is lookin pretty funky as well.

Now that the cat is outta the bag and the future is looking funky... anyone know:

  • The release date as to when said A. Clayton Signature Stryker might be available?
  • Price point?
  • And the specs on said model.

I ask about the specs as the specs on the version that Adam's been using has changed since that photo/advery were made. The changes? All mentioned in previous posts, knob configurations, Active to passive pickups. Adam's also used both 2 and 1 pickup versions.

So the spec question is:
  • 1 or 2 pickups
  • Active or passive pickups
  • controls configuration

Only time will tell,& that will be in the new year.
As for price? It's based on a pretty pricey model,so it's probably going to cost several thousand bucks.

2010? I figured as much.

Pricey? I imagine so.

But hey, Warwick makes quality bass guitars. They are some of the best looking & best sounding bass guitars out there.

Wow, yeah, where did you get that pic?

Capacitor switch was made that he can decide
What is best for him…

Treble was 56nf/100nF/220nF/330nF/470nF
Bass was 22nf/33nF/47nF/56nF/100nF

He choose 100nF for treble and 47nF for Bass

We are talkilng about the Reky :-)

Nice add! I will ask :-)

I'm not that technical, Flo. Can you tell me in normal words what the switch does? Something like cutting or boosting certain freqencies in a passive way?

Like chosing the frequency that is cut. So he wanted to test it live, and chose the right frequencies for him. After he decided, he will not use the switch anymore.
:-)

Cheers, Flo

Okay, I thought it would be a standard feature on the bass, like the 3-way switch on an Epiphone Jack Casady Bass. Thanks!

I guess it's official now. An add appeared in the latest issue of Gitare Und Bass. It's officially called 'Reverso' (it's on the headstock instead of Stryker) and it has one pick up, one normal control, one stacked control and a switch.

I made this very bad pic with my mobile phone. The bass is a bit stretched because of the bended magazine....

Did anyone notice that the pic of Adam himself is the same than on the previous ad? They jsut changed the background and the bass...

Matthijs did a good job:D

Ripped from Thomann.
