U2 - Adam Clayton with Warwick - live!

Yeah, the SZ is quite "cheap" on Thomann.

I guess it's official now. An add appeared in the latest issue of Gitare Und Bass. It's officially called 'Reverso' (it's on the headstock instead of Stryker) and it has one pick up, one normal control, one stacked control and a switch.

I made this very bad pic with my mobile phone. The bass is a bit stretched because of the bended magazine....

Is it possible to get a better quality scan of the ad?

Ripped from Thomann.

Ouch!

yup, between U2 and Metallica, Warwick has managed to put their basses in the hands of the biggest bands on the planet!

Sorry to disagree, until Cliff Williams of AC/DC ain´t playing a Warwick, their basses are not in the hands of the BIGGEST BAND IN THE WORLD 8:

Here's a couple of pics of me with a Warwick Reverso - Adam Clayton signature model.

The bass belongs to Mr. Scott Jones of The Joshua Tree (U2 tribute from Los Angeles).

Fantastic sounding bass. Lighter than I thought it might be. And the balance of the instrument is very nice. The feel of the wood. It is one finely crafted instrument.

Congrats to Scott on the aquisition. And thanks for taking the pics and sharing them with me.

Cheers!

I believe it has the mirrored P configuration. Clayton's in his Entwistle phase, so I guess with 2-band EQ? It looks like a Stage II so it could be an afzelia body, ovangkol neck and wenge fingerboard?

There are some sites explaning those things, like LOL (laugingh out loud), ROFL (rolling over the floor laughing), IIRC, and more...

Talking basses can be hard.. IIRC the S/N of the COF NT TCS FNA...

U2 tour is postponed because of back problems of Bono. We have to wait a while to see Adam again.

Erm, yeah! I guess.. Or not.

Beautifull pics: Anstradubh, i was not aware Adam also plays streamers...

Here's another picture that I found of Adam with the Streamer Stage One

Hi Buddy,

I will reply to your past question :-)

You sent me a picture with a Ziricote Stryker he was trying it and playing it on the latest album on one track…

Also he has now a reverso with the same specs like a Ziricote Stryker…
The Starbass is a Flamed maple Starbass only in gold… no other modification…

I will ask about the Streamer too :-)

Oh, and Marcus said Hello to you!

Hello to you and Hello to Marcus too!

Is the gold Star Bass also an Adam Clayton "signature model? Or was that just a custom build/finish for him?

Seems Adam has fallen in love with the Warwick family of products. Obviously he loves his signature Reverso but it seems he's tried a number of Warwick bass guitars over the past 2-years.

You mentioned that Adam played the Ziricote Stryker on at least one track on the last album (No Line On The Horizon). Do you know which track he used it?

As U2 just played in Germany, did Adam (or Dallas Schoo) stop by for any other Warwick gear while in the area? Just wondering.

And one question for you (or Marcus) - What is the difference in the Ziricote Stryker and Stryker? You'd mentioned that Adam's gold finished Reverso had the same electronics, is that correct, as the Ziricote Stryker?

As pointed out, there are new Warwick bass guitars for the 2010 start of the U2:360 tour.

Seems that Adam has taken a liking to the craftsmanship at Warwick.

Is Adam is trying to catch up with Edge in the gear department?
