"Turn of the Century" Thumb Bass Question...

I thought when you have 2 active or passive single coil pickups they are humcanceling when panned center and lose this ability as you pan toward one giving it more juice and the big humbucking pickup is doing the same thing just that the 2 single coils are in the same covering aka Music Man or MM style and dual coil pickups are each humcanceling under a single J style cover so no matter which one is panned there is no noise. How close am I?

You can't have actine single coil pickup, because they don't exist.

You can have active J-style pickups

Ovangkol is a bit brighter and less growly than Wengé

Wenge must really be growly then, because my $$ has plenty of sweet growl already with its Ovangkol neck. And my two Corvette Std. fretless' have a nice growl and sweet mwah, especially my exotic tigerstripe fingerboard beauty!

I'll have to locate and try a Wenge neck Warwick someday, but for now, I think I'm gonna like the Bubinga/Ovangkol laminate on the Thumb 2000...
