The Heads Up Thread

That's too much for a Fortress Masterman. I believe I've seen 3 or 4 last year sell under a grand.

I know of one for sale in the UK; 97 Masterman in good condition (green) @ £575!

...and I'd happily trust the seller of it as I've sold him two basses in the last 12mths! LOL

Now, if this was a Buzzard Bass or a LTD. I'd nod and agree. Not a Fortress. I think there's just too many of them around.

^^ Wow, he shot up the price $1000

Even at the 'lower' price I didn't think that it was cheap (well not for the UK where we don't believe in paying big prices for Warwicks) but now that is silly! I'm looking for an older Warwick but I'd not pay that in a month of Sundays. ;)

I spotted this, not sure if it's been posted before but I couldn't find it on here. I just bought also an '87 Thumb JD which should be here in about 10 days otherwise I would have been already bothering him for an overseas shipping :)

Is this a good price considering he's taking offers? It's active and original. Didn't email him for conditions etc.

Very interesting, but at that price I expect the sale to be a Slow Ride :x

Have you read the description with the hp quote:) ?

You mean this:
“Hello Tony, About your bass - I cannot remember exactly anymore but I guess we made 200 to 300 Bases under the license by Spector…after 85 we changed it, we stopped the license agreement and changed the bass in some ways and from 1986 it was a Warwick. Spector still hates me for that…but they F*&^#ed me heavily in this time and Spector even went 2 times in bankruptcy so he failed all the time suing me…. Well, I still work 7 days per week…14 to 16 hours per day…..still the same as before……however I will call you and be very happy to be in contact again…..Warwick GmbH & Co Music Equipment KG, H.P. Wilfer 18.10.2012, 14:51hrs….Warwick/Markneukirchen/Germany”

HP's email is awesome, haha!!!

I was talking about it yesterday with Morgh, and we were kinda surprised about what H.P.W. said on that email. I even had doubts about if it was actually a response by "the boss" itself, or if it was a fake email. I don´t know H.P.W. personally but, for some reason, he doesn´t seem that rude, or with so little tact, to me...

BTW... I think the "war drums" are already sounding at TalkBass´"Spector Thread" ;).
