The Heads Up Thread

It's an '89er by the looks of it. With proper care and skill it can be returned to its former glory but you really gotta know what you're doing if you want to fix this bass up.

somebody must've bought one of those wick necks on ebay a while back and stuck it on this thing...some people

Do you think it could be a Corvette body that someone has "customised"
(read hacked)?

Eeerrrrggghhhhhhh!

Yes I've noticed that it looks like your own 4 strings, which look awesome by the way !! ;)

Unfortunately I don't have these skils !!! And the wood at the back isn't matching that weird spot on the top... It's like if someone would have drilled the electronic cavity through all, and then patched the top wood with an other piece...

I find these old dolphin of that era (in Boire ??) really nice...

Well, some fool bought it.....

I doubt the body is even Bubinga..or a Wick...

just doesnt look right

Look at the contour on the back where the neck bolts are. It's a buntings vette that was cut up

im sure its a corvette...but i dunno the wood didnt look right to me.

that poor bass was destroyed.

LOL Bunting.....

This is a pretty bass.....what color do they call this ?

I think that colour is called "bass-boner blonde".

Yes, honey violin or amber. To be honest I don't know if they are the same color or not :)

For a moment I was thinking of buying this one myself... but I am not a Thumb guy.
2 grand (euros) for a brand new NT6. Great deal imho!

:lol::lol::lol:

it really looks good on a Vampyre anyways....

On another note-

Pasadena (Ca) Guitar Center has a 4 string birdseye Infinity.....$2499. Jeez...I need $$

New definition for a Fortress

A very interesting "Fortress One".
Well, in all fairness, the description says "4-strings", and "bass".
Oh, and the seller added the info that they read "Made in (W) Germany" on the headstock, so they assumed it must be a Warwick.
