Since Marcus Spangler doesn´t work for Warwick anymore we can be sure this project stays unique. And I always grin when I touch the banjo tuners to tune the octave strings. This was an awesome idea, @DiMarco ! I love this bass and I love to know it was forged in the Warwick good vibe zone!

I realize these are not your run off the mill, every day picks for a bassist's pedalboard but I guess I am just a bit of a weird one...
Oh and these pedals are from Denmark, England, Latvia, Sweden and France. Much EU, very noise.

Next step: sorting my "at home test center" pedal board. Right now I have too many overdrive pedals and just a flanger and a chorus as effect pedals. Time to check other effects too!
 

When I have my home pedal board sorted I can record an A/B vid with the Cliff Burton Power Fuzz Wah and the TruDrive.

The Cali plus DCX form my go-to main tone along with the Rickenbacker. What is especially great about the combination of the two pedals is they allow me to set up a situation where the DCX is on the edge of breakup and emphasizing harmonics plus saturating mids in my sound all the time while only obviously distorting when I dig in (so I kinda play the DCX as if it were an instrument). For passive basses like the Ric which are much more dynamic than most of my active basses the compressor decides by how much thus offers a fine control along with making my overal sound more compact and beefy like 1176's do.

When testing a DCX by itself you don't really realize just how powerful it is - that knowledge arrives when you hear it in the mix of instruments. So yeah for my prog rock tone this sure is a fantastic combination of just two pedals.

The fuzz and delay I mainly use when playing solo but I haven't used either in the 3 new songs we're working on since I started playing together with my guitarist again. I have a lively tone to work with and I can focus completely on musical content rather than on throwing in more effects, keeping the vibe somewhat more oldskool - which is actually what I am looking for. The DCX is much better at this job then any Darkglass or Tech21 pedals I have tried.
