a passive infinity NT would be my perfect bass....there is one on the custom shop site that's pretty funky, although i think i'd stick to the natural look instead of having it stained black
 
That first Infinity was stunning! Excellent work sir!

As for getting a 6 because Claypool has one - I'm a big Dream Theater fan and I love John Myung's style, but the main reason for me getting a 6 was realising that I was writing riffs that needed that full range for me to be able to play them properly. I think that's as a good a reason as any.

Onto the one bass forever thing, I'd probably go for something like this:

- Thumb 6 string (maybe NT, maybe BO... Haven't decided yet!)
- Ovangkol body, wenge neck, figured maple top
- Bartolini soapbars and 3-band EQ
- LED inlays of some description

Beyond that, I don't know... I'll get back to you :D

Mahogany bolt-on Corvette $$ 4FL with piezo bridge and low profile mahogany neck with 35" scale.

Never disappoints me in any situation.

You'd have to give me a "lot" of money to part with that one.
 
My SS2. :) In fact I sold my Fender yesterday and my Spector is next. I'm keeping my NT5.
 
I'll restate...

Thumb BO 5, piezo bridge. But i'd like to choose the ovangkol body myself.

And loads of wax so I can watch the ovangkol change
 
at 40, i don't think i've played anything i favor more than my 6 string ss1. you do have to admit, fenders have been the go to choice for over 60 years and that has to count for something. i also just ordered my first CS piece so that may change. either way, for me, it's warwick 4 lyfe!!!

If we're talking Warwick, I think a Streamer Stage I 5-string in ocean blue HP finish with yellow LEDs and gold hardware would do the trick!

Yep. But it's mostly because blue is my favorite color, and I think yellow always matches blue well, gold hardware is a must for me on blue basses.
