Green Streamer Project

Looks cool !! The green is very light it looks almost white on some pictures... but the green gives it some nice shadow... Still very vintage looks IMO...

You should have had put some fluorescent pigment in the paint, to make it glow in the dark on stage... that would have been crazy !! lol

Waiting to see how it will looks once done and everything assemble !!
 
I love your project, indeed special and unique, and clearly it's just knowing what you want and going for it as soon as possible. And since I'm quite the bass mutilator around here, it makes me look better too. :-D
 
It looks good! Kind of kooky, but good! I love the transition from the green body to the wenge neck. He did a really nice job!

I think black hardware would look killer!

it is an early Endorser instrument from the bass player of Herbert Grönemeyer (very famous in Germany).

but it has a neck repair

Is that the same bass as above? The second one has Bartolinis and a jumping guy painted on it...

Go for it Flo. Just out of interest did you choose those two pot positions over any of the other possible options for practical or aesthetic reasons? I only ask because I might have chosen Vol + Bass instead of Pan + Bass purely to keep them close but I suppose if you were plugging 2 of the holes then you could have plugged all 4 and put the pots where-ever you wanted. Are you going for a stacked Bass/Treble or some kind of tone filter... maybe passive treble roll off?

Ooops got distracted looking/reading the thread and I hadn't taken full attention to the first post!

I have to say it looks lush I'd be VERY interested to hear the difference between your 'green meanie' and my 5th Anniversary because I use the neck pup only when playing and it looks like it could be very close to your bass positioning! ;)
 
Well, your 5 th has the same positioning as my xbass, and this one the same :)

The pots are volume and passive tone, that,s it. Simple :)

In a couple of days it should be here MUHAHAHAHA!
