Check out what Warwick did with this Thumb NT:
A Thumb NT with broadneck string spacing !!! Well, apparantly Warwick is offering basses with standard string spacing with other string spacing as well. That should be good news to some of us............. :D
Hello,
since i am new to the wonderful world of bass i have a (maybe stupid) question:
i know that for a 5string bass the additional string compared to a 4string is a lowE but what is the additional 6th string for a 6string bass?...

Hi, I'm new here on the forum, and haven't been writing or speaking english for a while, so excuse me if I spell things incorrectly.
I used to own a 5 string Corvette standard some time ago, but had to sell it. Couple of days ago I had the chance to try out a Corvette $$, and fell in love...
does anybody perhaps know what to do with the string tension of my warwick basses which i don't use quite often? most of the time my instruments are tuned one semi-tone lower in order to reduce somewhat of the string tension. would it be wise to tune strings one whole-tone lower when the...
Hi guys!
Has anyone else experienced problems with width of their strings (namely the B string) not fitting in the groove of the tail peice of thier bass?
This is second time this has happened and with two different makes of strings (the first being a set by ghs & the second by elexir)...
When I try to tighten the lock on the saddle of the d string, it will begin to become tight but then get really loose again. What I've done is just stop where it starts to get a little tight and then I left it. Will this affect anything on my bass. Will I end up having to send this back to...
OK,
I am going to use a larger guage string and will need to lower the string tension. Will I need to lower the bridge? Is there anything else that iwll need to be done?...
the buy it now is only $600! if i wanted a 4 string i would be ALL over this. it looks like it could use a cleaning and a new coat of wax... but i thought i'd let you all know because it just hit and it'll be gone quicky.

Here are a few pics of my 1990 Thumb bass. I got it about a year ago and I still have trouble putting it down. The preamp is a John East E-Pro that allows you to get just about any sound you want from this beast. I am playing it through an Ampeg SVT 2-Pro and a Bergantino HT212. It sounds...
Hi,
I've got a strange problem with my Thumb NT: the open E string sounds much quieter and thinner than the the fretted notes on the same string.
I have new EB strings installed and there is almost no fret buzz, i really don't know what to do.
When played unplugged, the weak sound of the...
Hello... I finally played my new Corvete Standard active/active (32" scale)with my band at "club volume" and it sounds great with one exception. The B string is causing my Ampeg 4Pro/PR-410HLF to "fart" if I hit the low low notes on the B other than softly. I Play with my fingers. Don't slap...

Got my first Rockbass, a Corvette 5 active, and it's awesome.
The only thing I's like to change ASAP are the strings, which are a bit too bright for me.
Are the stock strings Yellow Label?
Any suggestions on what strings I should use aside from Warwicks? Because...
