String Guage Suggestions

I'm starting to tune my 5-strings CGCFA#, just wondering if anyone can suggest what string guages would be best to use.

Ok, so that's one full step below drop D...

You can use a medium -gauge or a light-gauge 5-string set and use those (Warwick's is 130, 100, 80, 60, 40) this way you'll get a 130 for the C, which should make it nice and tight, and then the others should be tight enough as well and give you the equivalent of a heavy-gauge set in standard tuning...

I'm running the standard 5-string set that it came with on it at the moment, but it seems to be putting a lot of strain on the neck tuning the strings up (plus the tension on the F and A# is making it hard work to play)

yup, use a lighter set, it should do it...

Keep in ming that you might have to adjust the truss rod and bridge to get the action back to how you like it...
