Do Warwicks sound better with age?

Might just be me, but I swear my 2009 Corvette is starting to sound closer to a Thumb (less bright, deeper, more well rounded). Am I alone?:!:

    Corvette Std's discontinued?

Sorry if this is old news etc, but I don't make it on this forum as much as I'd like anymore. wow...I never thought that bass would leave the Warwick line up. It appears both the ash and bubinga versions are now discontinued, and you'll only be able to get the Vette as a $$ from now on. I...

Active tone control for RB Streamer Std.

Hi, I am planning to add active tone control to my RB Streamer with 1 PU. I've ordered an ARTEC MT2 module (Bass 80Hz / Treble 8kHz) for doing so. Hope this will give me more flexibility on tone. Anyone out there who has modded his/her RB in a similar way? rgds

    Warwick corvette std for metal?

Hello everyone. I am interested in buying a Warwick. My band plays a mix between Thrash and Metalcore, and I don't know what Warwick's model is the best option. People told me about buying a corvette double buck but at this moment is expensive for me. I was thinking in a corvette std, I would...

    New Streamer STD

Hello all! I've recently purchased my first ever bass guitar, a Streamer STD and I've got a few questions: Can you guys recommend me a decent bass tuner and a good type of pick? I'm currently using my fingers to play but you might never know when I need a pick. Also on my Blue cab 30.1 I have...

Warwick Rockbass STD 5 ---> Problems with Action/Neck

Hello everyone I been playing guitar for many years and started to produce music 3 years ago. I was just tired of playing my bass with a MIDI keyboard from a sample based library and I really wasn't inspired since im not a good piano player. Coming up with new basslines is much easier on a real...

    My 'Vette STD is Unslappable

So I let a buddy of mine borrow my old 4 string bubinga Corvette STD about 6 months ago and I just got it back from him yesterday. While I was playing it for the first time I noticed that I was unable to slap on the open strings. The strings don't hit the frets or something. I get the proper...

    Proline vs. Std Corvette

Newbie: I used to have a Corvette standard, bubinga, fretted, and liked it. Now I'm looking at a couple of fretless 4 strings -- a standard bubinga 'vette -- and a proline 'vette. I really don't know anything about the proline vs the standard. Does the maple body and lower weight change the...

    Mudvayne Ryan Martinie covers.

You can listen here. I covered "Have It Your Way", "Do What You Do" and "Pulling The String". I'm especially proud of Pulling The String. I've been trying to get his tone forever. I play a Corvette STD with active pickups and electronics, though most of the time I bypass the active...

    Factory Setup - Corvette Std

I'm curious about the factory setting for the pickup heights for my Corvette Standard 5 string. However, the factory settings on all aspects of that bass, may be useful to me, or others, in the future. So.... Anybody able to give me the factory setup specs? Ta. Fuzzy

Streamer STD with different pickups (SD vs. MEC).

There was a thread where I had shown my DIY work - two Basslines SCPB-3's assembled in a single humbucker regaussed to a split configuration. I'm currently busy building a composite housing for those pickups, so recently I made two small recordings showing both DIY and original pickups in...

Corvette STD ash Custom Shop - The Creamer - Clips

So finally I've managed to reinsall everything on my computer, so here are some clips: First of all, this is the bass: It is a Corvette STD ash, with a simple customization - the pickups placed as in Streamer LX, or in Streamer Stage II. So it is a very affordable way to have a...

Corvette STD Ash Vs Corvette STD Bubinga

Hi Guys, To celebrate my recent purchase of a STD Ash 'Vette, and to help out Ronald I'm doing a little comparison between my Bubinga 'Vette and his new sister Blondie the Ash 'Vette. The aim of this experiment is to provide as much of an illustration of the differences between Ash and Bubinga...

Corvette $$ vs. Corvette Std. Bubinga

As I already wrote into the CS forum yesterday, well, I'm gonna buy a wick. My first one actually, but I just love the growl :) Today, I could compare a Corvette $$ 5 against a Corvette Std. Bubinga 5. I played both basses for hours :D The Std. had active electronics, but I'm not sure about the...
