Hi!
I noticed one thing about balance control pot on my Stand. Corvette Passive. It doesn't really work as balance control like the one on my Thumb BO. It's really just like a switch control between pick-ups.
I can only have neck, birdge pick-up separately or I can have both of them...
Hey, I've been considering buying a Corvette standard 4 strings.
But in retailers as musicians friend and music123 there are two diferent corvettes, one wich costs $1039 and one wich costs about $1279.
But they both seem to have the same specs, but the $1279 one, seems more bubinga like, the...
So I checked the new Warwick 2007 catalogue, and it appears that all models are equiped with JAN3 and strap lock. That's really cool news..............
hello. my name is augusto. i´m new in this forum. i found it trying to get help in internet. i´m sorry my english is not pretty good, but i´m from nicaragua, and here we don´t have much places to find help about this kind of stuff.
a couple of month ago i bought a 5string corvette standard...
hey everyone, I'm new here and I'm looking at Warwick 5 strings.
Right now, these are the two I'm most considering. I play mostly prog/technical death grind and thrash metal, and I was wondering which would be the best. The Active Ash Standard has J pickups which have great growl, while the...
Hello, can anyone recommend an after market hard shell case (SKB, TKL, Gator, G&G, etc.) that will give a real good fit for a 5-string Corvette Standard? I am told by several vendors that the available hardshell Rock Case does not provide a secure fit and that the bass moves around inside the...
Hi everyone,
I am owner of Warwick Corvette Standard Ash ( passive ) 4 string and I am very satisfied with it. Now I wanna buy myself Corvette Standard Bubinga ( active ) 4 strings fretless version but I can't try one 'cause dealer in my country doesn't have one in their stock.
So my...
Hello everyone, I`m a bass player from Portugal and have a question, does the Corvette Standard with passive MEC`s and active electronics in the passive mode work without battery?
As I`m playing in a pop rock funk cover`s band, and i need a versatile and resourceful bass, wich Wick model...
Ok.. lets put it this way: I want to buy my first Warwick, but I can't afford other model than Standard Corvette. I want to get a 5 stringed one. What model do you suggest? The ash model, or the bubinga model? Regarding the bubinga model, i found two types of them: with active pick-ups (like the...
hey so this week i went to the store to get a Corvette. i asked the store if i can try out both. they got the $$ sent over, but they dont have any places that have the standard.
and even if i was to buy it, they dont get them stocked till july...

hi.
i thought i'll share my eq settings with you, and probably get some tips to make things sound even better...
i'm playing a corvette fna through a gallien krueger head & a trace elliot 4*10 box (about 400w i think).
the rehearsal is in a room that is 3 on 7 meters and has fairly good...
Guys (and girls of course),
this is something that really surprises me a lot: apparantly, assume being a beginning bass player, and you can't afford a Warwick yet, so you choose Rockbass....................and you have the option for having one or two pickups on the Streamer Standard...
The [no longer in production] Streamer Standard...were they all carolena wood?
I ask because i'm considering removing the ugly black/brown stain and having a natural finish instead...
This one, for instance, looks great. Nice bold grains, no?
is that carolena?
I'm 90% sure it is but I have nothing that says for sure. I'm selling it and wanted to know 100% so I don't miss lead any buyers.. I figure you guys could tell after a glance. Here's a link to my flickr that has a few pictures.
Thanks for the help!
...and am so pleasantly surprised! How can such an inexpensive instrument sound and feel so good? Tip top. I got a great deal on a well-used but very playable Streamer Standard 4 string, and after adjusting the neck, action, and giving it a nice cleaning, I took it to rehearsal. Phenomenal...
It's Christmas time! and for Christmas I'm upgrading from my beginner bass. I've narrowed it down to these two. I was intent on getting the standard but found a good deal on the FNA, making them both around the same price.
Standard
Bubinga body
3 Piece Ovangkol bolt on Neck
Active MEC "JJ"...
About once a month I take my strings off of my bass, wax it up, and put on new strings. I recently took my strings off and noticed that the part on the head that you put the string into before winding the string around it (sorry i don't know the name of the part) was loose for the E, A, and G...
Anyone would have any objections as to choosing a doublebuck over a standard active corvette (5 string?). For some reason, it is cheaper than the standard model (£670 vs £760), I just wonder why since the $$ provides more on the table.
For example, I can see that the pickups position could...
