Why don't they make EMP's available in Heavy Gauge?

I love the strings but I need the heavier gauge to cut down on string flap in Drop C. A 110 would do me fine but it's not available. I don't want to use a B string as I intend to get a D-tuner for when I want to play in strait D. Because I am hoping that a heavy gauge will come out I haven't...

    EMP (Enormous Mistake Poo).

Ah... So I finally changed the strings on my Thumb with a brand new set of EMP (45-135). And, errr... The good : I love their texture : rough, just like my good old Rotosound. The bad : they sound so "thin", "hollow", "dull"... Even my 3-years (yes, years) old Elixir still sound better... And...

    ramble,,,last review of EMP's

well I'm about at the 2 1/2--3 month mark on the EMP's. I've been a diehard Roto man my whole life and these EMP's have won me over from the Roto's in all areas except in the price department. but I was lucky enough to get a great deal on a whole box of EMP's so I'm set for a while! as for...

    EMP's ARE THE SH1T!11!!1!!

Sorry for the all caps, but man, I really love these. Just put a set on my jazz bass and god these strings makes me get the EXACT same tone I was dreaming to get on the Fender. It is the 5th set of 5 different companies I try, and they are by far my favourite. The last set was DR hi beam which I...

    EMP's made in the USA?

I notice that Warwick's strings are made in the USA -- who makes them? Why not in Germany, the home of so many well-engineered things?

    EMP String Package

Hi all, Just received two packs of EMP string I ordered online. And I found that the package is not 'sealed'. The red label I purchased from local store is sealed all together. But the EMP package looks like all individual strings and they just put together in one package. I have a few...

    Dead EMP's after 1 gig??

The B string has lost all sustain and sounds dead....now obviously boiling is going to ruin the coating that makes EMPs good, but maybe soaking in alcohol? The EMPs on the other bass have been on longer and still going strong...hmmm

EMP String Supply in the USA

When I picked up my Dirty Blonde a couple days ago, I asked Dennis, owner of The Bass Place, when he was going to expect more stock on EMP strings. He didn't know and then he told me that D'Addario makes their own ESP strings that are the same process and because people are familiar with...

    EMP string question

I have been interested in coated strings lately, but most of the strings that are available, don't have taper B's. I was wondering if the EMP's strings have the same taper concept as the Black label strings. non-tapered strings don't sound so nice with my streamer stage I 6 :D thanks

I am furious - EMP Strings

OK.... so three weeks ago I buy a brand new set of EMPs. The set that were on were just dead. String up and was once again blown away by the tone and feel. Three days later, the string breaks between the nut and the machine head. It was at pitch, wasn't tuned up... during this period I...

Anyone using the new EMP strings??

I'm replacing my strings after my gig tomorrow and was looking around and noticed the new strings... I only use Black Labels before as Ive tried most other top end strings and just dont like the sound I get, it just isnt like the growl that you can acheive with Black Labels... Anyway I saw...
