Hi all,

Just received two packs of EMP string I ordered online. And I found that the package is not 'sealed'. The red label I purchased from local store is sealed all together. But the EMP package looks like all individual strings and they just put together in one package.

I have a few questions:

1. Is it genuine package?
2. Does it effect the life of string?

Thank you

I got a bigger box with a set of 6 packages and all the packages are like that and the strings are in that paper sleeve. no it does not affect the strings. I also had some red labels and they were all in these same paper sleeves so i do not know what seal you refer to.

Thank you for everyone's reply. The type of red label sealed package I got was a plastic vacuum bag for all strings inside a paper red label package.

The reason I bought EMP is because I heard that it can last very long (even a year!) And I probably use the second package next year.

Can't wait to put it on my lover!

BTW, how long a can of beewax last? Any 'expiry date'?

Thank you

Unfortunatly there's no Aussie Warwick bass fest this year.
Bass events here are few & far between.Stu Hamm just did some clinics recently while on tour with Joe Satriani.Ya just gotta keep an eye out for when these things happen coz if you blink, you miss.
Bass People have been putting on some regualr shows at the Annandale Hotel lately.Usually with Steve Hunter & Duano Martinez.Sign up for their newsletter to be kept up to date with those as well as they're competitions.
Maybe next year we'll have some good Warwick/Aussie bass news.
Will keep you posted.
**You're an Aussie??Where abouts are ya?

Red labels have that plastic seal, black and EMP's not. I guess this is to keep the volume down, Red label boxes are slimmer because of that :-)
