I see that Rickenbacker is using bubinga fretboards on some of their basses now: Anybody have any idea what kind of effect that would have on the tone of a bass? I never knew bubinga could be used for fretboards, ..lol just picture it, a Thumb NT with a Bubinga pommele body, fretboard...

i didn't think anyone could get a better deal than me. i was wrong. $595 US for what is described as very good condition... if only i could justify another one... about $60 shipping. wow. this better be gone the next time i check, that's the buy of the century.
