hi
I'm planning to buy a warwick corvette standard (passive), and i need opinions!
I mostly play metal and as most of my favourite (finnish epic-melodic) bands use warwick i decided to get one. My amp: Warwick proFET 3.2 with hartke aluminium-cone 4x10 and 1x15 (great low-lowmid and treble -...
Hi everyone,
I am owner of Warwick Corvette Standard Ash ( passive ) 4 string and I am very satisfied with it. Now I wanna buy myself Corvette Standard Bubinga ( active ) 4 strings fretless version but I can't try one 'cause dealer in my country doesn't have one in their stock.
So my...
Ok.. lets put it this way: I want to buy my first Warwick, but I can't afford other model than Standard Corvette. I want to get a 5 stringed one. What model do you suggest? The ash model, or the bubinga model? Regarding the bubinga model, i found two types of them: with active pick-ups (like the...
Can you tell a HUGE tone difference between ash and bubinga??
Like i have said before i want the dirk lance/p nut deep with mids tone
Could ash achieve this or would bubinga be better
There is an ash vette around here with passive pickups
How do you think that would sound?? I might...
hi.
since we had the discussion about the difference between a corvette made of swamp ash and one made of bubinga, now let's talk about the difference between a corvette bubinga and a thumb bo.
never played a thumb, but i admire the tone of ryan martinie on the mudvayne recordings.
it...

Guys,
you all know waiting for your bass is very exciting.................sometimes a little too exciting. Maybe I'm biased now, because I'm waiting for my Thumb 5 NT bass, but I do think there is another reason as well:
Bubinga Pommele.
Now, if you've ordered a bass with Ash, AAA Flame...
It's Christmas time! and for Christmas I'm upgrading from my beginner bass. I've narrowed it down to these two. I was intent on getting the standard but found a good deal on the FNA, making them both around the same price.
Standard
Bubinga body
3 Piece Ovangkol bolt on Neck
Active MEC "JJ"...
The local shop received some new Warwick STDs in (sold the 2 $$).
4 and 5 string, active, bubinga.
4 and 5 string, passive, ash.
I've not owned an active bass yet; all I know is that you can get more puch and more sounds. However:
How "clean" is the sound (with age does it develope...
Hey All,
Just tried something that worked great on my Corvette and thought I would pass it along. My baby had developed some sweat stains where my right hand rests, and nothing I tried seemed to work until this: I scrubbed (with the grain) the affected area with a toothbrush saturated in a...
I'm thinking of odering a 4 String fretless Corvette Standard Bubinga or a 4 String fretless Corvette Standard Ash. It is only a $50 difference. It will take up to 5 weeks if I choice the Ash bass because it has to come from Germany. I only want passive pickups to give me a different sound...
I'm thinking of replacing the stock MEC's with Bartolini pups on my Vette.
There are 3 variations of the J-bass in the Bart catalog...
any suggestions, please ?
On say an active vette, what do you like better and why? Swamp ash or Bubinga. I really like the sound of the Bubinga myself, although until my axe actually gets here I have been unable to play a Swampash w/ $$.
