What are you listening to..ATM?

i'm so happy that my link got actually someone to listen to the band. that was why i opened this topic, so we can explore various genres that we could like. you know the old saying: the more, the merrier! :)

and get those bands flowing, people! i already started listening to some posted bands because of you :)

I think Kringel is totally amazing, but then again Sean is on another level with the fretless. Never seen him play live. And since we 're in a bass forum, here's a couple of clips where he shines. They are from Aghora, a band heavily influenced by Cynic. Actually the rhythm section on this record is Cynic's original rhythm section, the two Seans. :)

yeah, aghora is a very decent band..i've got both of their albums in my library. i like "Mahayana", but every song is pretty good. they are also heavily influenced by buddhistic views on the world, mind exploration, meditation, cosmos.. they're a nice band to listen. and sean is a really great bass player :)
 
The vocals are kind of weak on the first record... Diana Serra sound much more "determined" in the second album, but she's apparently left the band. Not much activity from them lately. Their current bassist is crazy... Where do they find these guys?

i agree with diana serra matter. Formless is definitely superior record anyways. about bassists: that's beyond me :P

It's a shame that Les Claypool gets more recognition from this song, than The Reddings.

Yeah, I know what you mean... but it's cool to see someone else do their funky verison of Sir Redding's Masterpiece.

Besides, I might get to see P-Nut do this live in two week. :)
