Have you ever seen a Stage 1 with MEC Dynamic Correction pickups as stock? That is what the seller is claiming. Interestingly he "forgot" to mention the pre amp was not stock until i asked him...
He describes the bass as being 9/10 condition...

I can imagine the neck from the back being somehow coloured. The front and back of the neck look different, which doesn't make any sense - as if you would have different neck pieces not only vertically, but also horizontally. Why would someone do that? But the width of the dark part is pretty much the same as the 2 wenge strips plus the maple in between. So either coloured or maybe also a repair job.
 
Saw that Katana, lovely looking bass for a fair price. I have never heard one being played so no idea what they sound like. Anyone here have any experience?

I owned one and sold it to @Gnermo. If you ask me you can compare the sound with the sound of a Corvette. I play it live in this vid. Maybe you can hear that the bass is good audible, that is an important thing for me.

 
The Katana is the least Warwick bass out of all of the models I have tried, if that makes any sense.
It's very large, the pickups are more in a traditional jazz spot. But it is a bass I love.

I am not sure how the neck in a neck thru Streamer can be fake? My best guess is the Center was painted because the owner prefers the feel of a matt finish as opposed to an oil finish.
I think this bass is a project bass hence the non stock pickups and pre as well...
