The Heads Up Thread

This seller seems to being "economical" with the truth...
None of that Hardware looks original - certainly not the tuners and knobs. The bridge looks to be the alloy kind which is questionable for 92?

Gerade bei #Kleinanzeigen gefunden. Wie findest du das?

👍…agree: the hardware looks like „new“, i.e. ‚notorious China quality‘…I strongly believe that the bass was originally „lacquer coated“ - if you see to the „wood selection“- and had golden hardware, i.e. tuners (made by Gotoh) and massive bridge 🤷🏼

What a crazy price to ask for a bog standard Stage 2 not even from Warwicks best era!
👍…half the price would be ok…in May 95 they still produced in Pretzfeld factory🤷🏼🤔…in 1995 they moved to Markneukirchen and there are „rumors“ that „funny things“ happened during the ramp up of the new production..🤗

Oh man the last photo makes me sad and makes me think the bass has had a hard life...

(n/a)…Thumb …must be from the 80ies - not 1994…

Looks like an 80s Thumb to me too. Anyone else notice the recess in the body for the bridge? Maybe a custom order.
Stu Hamms Warwick Sig has a similar approach and I wish all Warwicks did this as the tail piece can get in the way of the intonation adjustment screws...

(n/a)….Thumb 4 from 1986….near Munich …quite pricey🤷🏼

Can't believe it, but I think this is the first time I've seen the 2001 LTD for sale. I'd consider this fairly rare. Looks to be in great shape.

Important to note for those who may be interested... This is the twin of the 2001 "Guitar Center 35th anniversary LTD", released in the US. We've seen a bunch of those over the years.

Identical, except this has the official LTD badge on the headstock.

Don't you usually complain about them being too blingy these days? I'd think a "boring" Wick would excite you...

These are Lovely LTD's. Rare to see in the wild too. Sandwich body, ebony board. Very cool BO's.
