many years ago I ve owned a 88 Thumb 4.
Eventually, sold. Soundwise big difference to my 86 Thumb 5 (both ‚lacquered‘, the 4str was black)......the oilfinished/Schaller 3D bridged might sound differently...so, I am still thinking (GAS...GAS...GAS)..

no...not custom made at all...back then all were „handmade“...more or less..

The fretboard is ebony, not wenge. For this it could be factory made.
