The Heads Up Thread

overall good conversation with the current (second) owner...headstock has a severe „dong“..the neck looks like broken/repaired(on pictures):oops:...a personal meeting would be recommended, however cross-boarder actual difficult due to corona restrictions:oops::oops:o_O
A broken volute neck?? Did he take it to a cricket match??

the owner claims that the instrument is in perfect condition. And just the photo may look like „broken/repaired“...
but: I asked him about the trussrod. And he said that he never ever used it. Thats of course possible with „sturdy“ necks, but my feeling is that he knows too less about adjusting a bass that he can confirm that „all is in perfect condition“.....if trussrod is „blocked/broken/maxed out“ then it could be a pricey investment:cool::p:eek:

Always bring your tools when testing ;)
I always test this, because replacing comes at 300€ if stuck for non-volute; for volute necks the fretboard need to come off (at least a part) for a trussrod replacement

yup! I know:)...and that‘s my point:D

I've owned that bass for a while, truly one of the "worst" sounding Warwick's ive played.
It sounds absolutely nothing like you would expect from a Warwick.
