The Heads Up Thread

HPW's skills in writing English aren't this good, so the letter by itself makes me wonder or even doubt if he would have ever written it.

Not stating facts here just saying how I feel about the situation.

I'm not sure why I would ever have any reason to make it up, but here we go...

It looks like he might run his emails through some translation software.

Again, I've personally got nothing against the guy that is Warwick Depot. Someone asked why the questioning about defective goods. The above-mentioned email is why I had questions about the quality of stock that came from Dana B. Goods to Warwick Depot.

The dude who messaged me offered 500. I decided to publicly shame his ass and put his name and message in the for sale posting with a tag that said "if you're as done as this guy, don't bother messaging me. Research this bass before you throw me an offer"

So I threw the Streamette back up in Craigslist. I got one hit, and the dude is across the country, and wants to offer me 750 plus shipping. Nope, sorry, I'm just going to hold onto it if that's the best you can do.

So, who here can come up with a good reply for me to use?

I don't think you're making it up, I personally felt like it was out of character for HPW to respond that way.

BA, yeah I found it a bit odd as well. Like Hoggles mentioned, it probably has a lot more to do with a soured relationship with a distributor than anything else.

That being said, I really don't know how anyone is a fan of US Music Corp. Beyond Ken Parker selling out, they did a lot to kill the Parker brand and I don't see how they are doing Warwick any favors, stateside. I cannot speak for the distribution channels in Europe, but in the USA, they are laughable. The corporations over here really understand how to muck things up. Again, this is strictly just my opinion.

Wow!! Time for the hardcore Thumb and Jack Bruce fans to mortgage the farm and/or rob the bank:

Wow. That's a new one on the scene. That's now the third known Thumb that Jack signed.

Jack's 5'er Thumb just sold out of England for 24k. I think adding an additional 100k to that price may be asking a bit much...but good luck to the dude. Might find a millionaire who's a huge Jack fan.

Brazilian Rosewood. Just wow.

Thanks for the post Kim :)

You can show him the receipt for mine. It just sold on Reverb. Then he can take his $750 and stuff it.
