The Heads Up Thread

Gorgeous Thumb. Paint looks to be original. Turning a beautiful cream white.

Two piece bridge though. Not an '86. Probably '87 or '88. Also the pups would be angled much more severely on a '86 Thumb 5. Like bumblebee up there :)

Continuing the vintage Streamer theme... Here's 1985 #67 (Netherlands)...and 1986 #22 (US). Didn't realize they must have have started from zero on the the serials, when they introduced the modern headstock? Coulda sworn all this time, that for instance my #1031, was infact that number in the line of Streamers from the beginning etc. Guess not. They must have reset in January of '86. Good to know.

The '86 is reasonably priced...the '85...not so much.

And what do you guys think.....the fretboard on the '85 doesn't look like Wenge to me. Looks more Bubinga or Rosewoodish, in color and grain. Interesting...

in case no one posted it: Warwick Thumb 4 String Bolt-On Electric Bass Guitar

Possible german pro series?

Yeah, for sure Pro Series. Well, 99% sure. If the silver hardware is factory, then it's most likely a PS.

And leave it to good old Guitar Center....continuing the long tradition of being the absolute worst company when it comes to pics and descriptions

"throw it on the floor and take one blurry sideways shot of it" :p
