2450 USD for a passive Streamer LX.

Spec page shows it is passive with 2 way active electronics. Doesn't that make it just like every other 'Wick with the pull for passive option?
No - most Warwicks with MEC pickups are never truly passive (if the MECs are active, which most are), they just feature a preamp bypass. That's what pulling up on the volume knob does. It bypasses the MEC II/III pre, but the signal being sent out of the bass is still an active, low impedance signal, that requires power. If you pull the battery out of a bass with active pickups, even in "passive" (bypass) mode, it still won't work. The battery is necessary to power the preamps in each pickup. This bass above is like the majority of "active" basses, featuring traditional passive pickups together with a preamp. In this scenario, the preamp can be bypassed and then you actually get a true passive, high impedance output directly from the pickups.

Holy Shit. Broadneck ? Looks like it.
A shame it wasn't hidden neck construction, with the ebony FB it would have been totally coordinated. Maybe too much ?
I wonder if it has a matching headstock.
