At least we managed to keep the 2010 Limited Editiion from leaking, ey? ;) What do you all think of her, I personally think she rocks.

Yeah, I'm diggin' the LTD 2010!

The Clayton signature model is kinda tripping me out though... ;)
 
Because the Ash body, Maple Neck, and Straplock point is more towards the headstock, there will be no more complaints from the neck dive i guess!:d
 
But what's with the new "Pro Series" section that now includes both Corvette STD models, which are now shown in the old section as discontinued. (most probably because they moved them to the new section)

Are you maybe rearranging the site into Pro Series and Rockbass Series?
 
The Corvette Standard as a German built model is discontinued. The Pro Series is a new series of instruments built in Asia which will sit in between the German built Warwicks and the Chinese Rockbasses.

*EDIT: The Corvette Taranis and Streamer LX Broadneck are discontinued too... lots'a changes!

The Corvette std. was/is my first Warwick.
Life goes on and Warwick makes progress.
Adding less expensive and more expensive models is just good business.

I'm not quite okay with this. I mean it was the "affordable" German built warwick that people bought that then were developing the taste for german wicks that are more expensive. What I'm trying to say is that they were (for most of the people) the easy to access open door to the "real" german warwicks, what made people ask for more. It's a similar move that Volkswagen made when they shipped their productions of the Golf and Jetta to Mexico and hell people weren't happy. Also, They were selling a lot of corvette standard and I predict a fair drop in sales since the production is moved. I really really don't see how this is good marketing. Oh and since they are the 2 only "standard" model, why not call the series as is: the standard line. I mean, people hate being bul♣♣♣♣ted and the "pro" series of most brands is never the top of the line series and they never quite sell as much. I really think calling it the standard series would make it more "honest", just like the fender standard line.

If someone more knowledgeable than me in marketing (and I'm not really knowledgeable in the subject) and think otherwise please enlighten me.

Actually, the FNA JazzMan has been discontinued for a couple years now (along with the Proline)... :(

Wow, can't say I'm happy, nor that I agree with moving the Corvette line to China... *sigh* it honestly made me slightly angry at first, now I'm just disappointed. The one thing that made Warwick what it was, was manufacturing an affordable entry level bass in the same factory as their higher end models, such as the streamer and thumb.

Its really sad, and I just don't get it. Flo, is there an explanation for this? Or is it simple outsourcing/downsizing?

And at least the 2010 Ltd looks great, the Clayton and thumb SC are, well... ill pass on them both, and wont bother looking twice in store.

At least the rockbass line is killer... any word on The six string model? Or The possibility of a thumb RB?
 
As I understand, the Thumb SC will be produced in one neck version:
5-string Broadneck, which will be adapted for a regular 6 strings version.

So, there will be NO 6-string Broadneck...

Is this right?
 
Yeah, I can't say I'm too pleased about the corvette line move. I thought there were gonna be some pro models that were gonna be made in china (pro series). Like stuarts bass...but corvettes? I think I've lost a little pride in my bass. I can also see ebay prices going way up on "PRE CHINA WARWICK CORVETTE!!!!"
 
OMG,WTF etc.
I expected there to be some negative comments,but some of you guys are reacting like you actually have shares in Warwick & this is all going to affect your income & lifestyle.Not happy about where some basses are going to be built?How many of these are you guys planning on buying?99% of you buy used anyway.I remember hearing praise when it was announced there would be cheaper signature basses.Now there's complaints?
How many of you are aware of why any of this has happened?Who works in the MI industry & understands marketing enough to be able to give a valid reason for feeling so let down by the company that listened to your requests about Rockbasses,then made every change your asked for?
FFS!I cant believe what I'm reading here.
I suggest some of you guys go buy a Rickenbacker(new),join their forum & see how long it takes you to get banned for simply asking how much you could sell your neck pickup for because you've found a better replacement.
