Hi all I’m trying to find some new strings for my four string 96’Corvette and I’m not sure what gauge to aim for. Would appreciate some help picking out a gauge.
I currently have DR 40-95 fat beams on which I like but I need thicker strings going forward.
I recently purchased a used Warwick Corvette FNA. It was made in 2000, the serial number is G-076523-00. The neck pickup looks like a Jazz bass pickup, and the bridge pickup is an MM-style humbucker. The bridge pickup sounds great, but the neck pickup is significantly quieter. Is this an issue...
Hello! How do I recognize a Fake Warwick? I have many doubts about this bass and I'm not sure if it is an authentic Warwick or if it is a specific model. The seller told me that it is the Corvette model, only that this one is 5 strings. But I have been searching and researching and I cannot find...
hey there,
this is my first post. actually my first post in a forum ever. anyway, i have recently purchased a really nice warwick corvette 6-string fretless with bolt-on neck (built in january of 1995) and i am in love with the tone. i have put on strings with slightly higher tension (elixir...
Hello all,
a friend of mine and I recently discovered that on both of our basses (Warwick Corvette $$ 5 String) the pickups are louder when switched to parallel than in the series postition.
We just wondered because it doesn't seem to be a bug as it is in both of our basses.
After...
I like documenting my basses with a video demo. This one is freshly strung with D'Addario EXL220-5 strings. There isn't a ton of info on Proline's but I'm pretty sure the preamp is a bartolini and non-original. It is a 3 band pre and sounds great, the pickups are MEC; 18v setup and LOTS of cut...
Hi, guys! So thrilled to become a part of Warwick bass guitar owners!
I had an offer from a guy to trade mine Ernie Ball MusicMan Stingray for his Warwick Corvette 6 strings (2006 year). However, I was a bit puzzled to verify if it is authentic.
The guy says, he is the third owner of the...
Dear fellas,
I´m planing to treat myself with a 5 string fretless, and i saw a nice deal with a Rockbass corvette 5. I´M having second thoughts because i also have a Rockbass streamer LX5, but the access to the 24th fret isn`t a easy task. This might be due to my hand size or shape, but i...
I just found this certificate for my FNA Jazzman Ltd. 2002 in the Warwick User Kit, praising the "workmanship of old-world German craftsmen…" Enjoy :-)
Hello my name is Pablo I have a Warwick standard Corvette bass 1996 and I wanted to know how to treat 2 solid body wood US Swamp Ash Wood Surface Oil Finish / Beewax surface, there is some demonstration video or instructions on how to do it without damaging the body or modifying the color Thank you
Not sure if anyone would want to??
But I have a Warwick corvette--4
has silver tuners and 2 part bridge--anyone else have black set they would trade for chrome? Just thought I would ask before buying the black and going through the motions of selling the chrome...
Cheers
The bass in question is...
Let me start by saying that my China build Warwick RB Corvette Classic 5 ASTHP produces a great sound. The growling is something I just love. But having said that, my bass also has a serious problem: The tuners don't fit on the headstock! Let me explain...
The mounted tuners consist of 2 parts...
Hi,
This is my first time posting here so ai hope I post in the right place.
I played bass since I was 13 but had to stop after a few years due to a injury. I managed to fracture my middle, ring and pinky fingers and had to keep a cast on for 4 months. After taking it off I had the "pleasure"...
Hi guys!
This is my 1996 Corvette Proline, bought on this very forum!
There's one tiny little dent on the left side of the body, I'll add a picture later. Aside from that it's in beautiful condition, plays like lightly salted butter and sounds like a whale being beaten with a very tickle-y...
So, idle hands got the best of me again and I ran across an FNA that piqued my interest on Dallas Craigslist(I'm in Austin). A few text messages and a paypal invoice later it was en-route. For an impulse buy I'm pretty happy. Needs to be cleaned up but otherwise in great shape. It's a 1999 and I...

I order a Just-A-Nut for my Corvette Std to replace the JAN 2 and to my surprise it is wider than the JAN 2 and too short to function without a shim of some kind. It is the 38.5mm nut (I know you'll ask) and I'm wondering if older Warwicks (like my former 90 thumb) had thinner fingerboards. I'm...
