I can vouch for the fact that running a good isolated power supply; such as the Voodoo labs, does indeed provide a cleaner, quieter sound. I'll know even more when I plug into my stage rig, but I've always been somewhat bothered by the amount of hiss my pedal board produced.

Having a power supply that fits up under the tier allowed me to move a power bar off of my board and gave me more space for pedals,...so the Shiva came down under the Moog and the Wolf CPU took it's place.

I find that the starve function in the Shiva is a more usable when it isn't in the feedback loop and the Wolf CPU interacts better with the Utter Stutter better than the Shiva.
 
Here's my finished Ikea shelf pedalboard. I finally got around to laying the velcro today, and it was just a matter of time with the hot glue gun and cardboard before I was finished. It starts with a Korg DT7 tuner as a signal buffer and also because it was the only buzz feiten tuner on the market at the time I bought it, and I have a homemade mute pedal for it. The Devi Ever Cherry pop is a grueling insanely deep toned gated fuzz which makes the true bypass modded Dunlop Bass Wah sing with funky space fuzz noise, and the Fulltone Bass Drive acts as a signal/volume boost with tone fattening and a slight overdrive for my signal.

It covers the Fuzz Distortion Overdrive Wah basics very well. I mostly play alone, but if I needed to plug into a cab I have 300w to play with, too. Its my perfect bedroom pedalboard.

Audio Technica ATH-D40fs headphones are what I use for my fretless practice. They're great. So is the Rogue Daddy's Little Helper Black IPA.
 
here's my incomplete board... it still needs a sansamp BDI and a wah (i dont know which... suggestions?)
 
The Ibanez Weeping Demon sounds great on bass.

I've got one more pedal coming in and I'll post an updated shot when it arrives. Quite a lot has changed since my last post here, hehehe.

i read about it, and it had some mix reviews, so i wasnt that convinced... i ended up getting a more expensive Wilson Wah that has all these settings for guitar, and it can supposedly be used for bass.

i dont know.... the hype stuff in talkbass + the fact that its a small company sort of got me convinced.

I didn't think you were that impressed with it? I had a custom A/B switch (with separate volumes) with tuner mute and effect loops built for me. No EQ, but I can run whatever I want into it, depending on what rig/gear I'm using.

Here's my updated Mini layout. Doing a run of "Hairspray" at the local University.

Actually I like the basswitch... I just like the Hellborg better. Hellborg is also 3 times bigger and also 3 times more expensive, so you can expect to sound 3 times nicer :-)

Received my Gator board today so I re-arranged some stuff.



Starting at the bottom right towards the left sitting between the instrument and amp input there's an EHX Micro POG, MXR M80 dist/eq, Boss MT2 dist.

Then in the amplifier's effect loop starting from the top right there's an Ashdown dualband bass compressor, MXR M82 envelope filter, EHX 'The Worm' (set to a quick phase or trem effect). Moving back to the bottom row from the middle towards the left there's an EHX Small Stone and Small Clone for insane analog phase and chorus pleasure and finally the Akai Head Rush II delay / looper.

Sitting in the top left is the controller for my Fender TB600 hybrid amp which has a built in tuner, effect loop on/off switch, EQ on/off switch and Clean/Overdrive switch.
 
Nice pedalboard, Le Marco. Are you only running the Ashdown, the M82 and the Worm in the effects loop, and the rest straight after the bass?
 
Nope, only the overdrives are purposely hooked up before the preamp. The octaver has to sit in front of that so it keeps tracking whatever happens. All other pedals are inside the effect loop because a few of them can't handle the high output of an active bass very well.
