My board hasn't changed since I last posted it, but here's a fun picture anyway. This is from Saturday night's gig. My board is at the bottom. The one near the top is the trumpeter's, and the one on the right is the saxophonist's.

This is my 2nd Zeus. Both are broken and produce garbage random sound every n times you kick it in. When it works tho it does have this organic brutality going on. Too bad I can't ever use it live.

The two favorites are the russian pickle and plasma pedal. Plasma sounding very "Jack White" and the pickle sounding very "Muse".

I never use the Duality.
 
The main and the backup. Both the 10 band and the EQ on the Transit-B are lifesavers. I never play without a compressor and the one effect I keep using is an overdrive. Note: the Le Bass is my 2nd lifesaver pedal besides the Transit-B.

There is now a 2nd board with tremolo, phase, chorus, wah, octaver, pitchshifter and two fuzzes for the times I like to be noisy. This extra board I hardly ever will use... Just comp, EQ and a little dirt is all I use in bands really...
 
Well my board has slowy been coming together and I feel I am almost done now... ergh

The boss is on a tier I built with my super symmetry underneath..with some plans for a few midi run pedals to go in there aswell.

H9 is brand new and is soo much fun i truly had no idea...so stoked I got it.

Love my Darkglass gear so much and actually I have found the b7ku is the better choice with the v8. see how we go with the band.

Maybe I just need to build a huuuuge board with everything on it?

Been there, done that.... went back to a smaller board. A big board is actually a pain in the ass, IMO. It doesn't fit anywhere, it's heavy and cumbersome, it's confusing as hell on stage, and if one of those little cables needs replacing, you've got that much more trial and error to do to find it. I actually found myself leaving my pedalboard at home because it was too much hassle to bring it to jams. Talk about defeating the purpose.

Plus, going back to a smaller board forced me to focus on what was really important to me. I mean, if you use different pedals on every song, do you even have a tone anymore? Going small forced me to decide which types of effects I would use (for example, phaser but not flanger), and then pick one of each to be my fuzz, my OD, etc.

Also, you won't be switching the board around any less than you are now. Trust me, there is no way to curb this obsession. ;) Here are a few of my large boards, from around 2015. In the final one, I had the Compressore mounted on the bottom to make even more room. You can just make out the Markbass logo at the top center, just above the Boss Phase Shifter.

I threw my Redwitch Zeus in the trashcan today after once again trying to inspect what's wrong. I gave up.
 
Any of you guys use a Midi controller? I am an absolute newb to midi and need something simple to control my Strymon Timeline and Bigsky. Not sure where to start. So many things out there, kinds confused lol

"Something simple" - What do you want the controller to do, simple tap tempo and preset selection?
