Quick stop at the custom shop

First of all: Gerry, gratulations! Niceeeee Bass it is and your band lineup really makes me curious of how this monster sounds in the context.

Second: "Quick stop at the custom shop" -> new bass on page 2. Makes me smile everytime I see this thread.
We are just a bunch of freaks...

Thanks, and yeah I'm glad to know so many freaky bass buds like me! This bass can be dialed in to suit the reggae songs as well as the pop stuff and ballads. The ken Smith had me covered nicely but it was my only 5 string and I had to take it to Ken twice since I owned it because when an alloy knob shaft breaks on a bass that has a connected pc board, you have to change the whole thing! I can't roll those dice before a gig. Other than my former SS2, the PNut3 is the best bass to cut through like the Smith. I actually like the mids and highs better on the PNut 3 than SS2 or the Smith.

Separate property, bought before marriage, is not distributable to a spouse upon divorce so long as you can prove it was in fact paid for by you. New Jersey is an "equitable property" state, so keep your receipts!

I been trying to get the band to do some, since they like to do reggae/rock originals. I might be able to put something together in the living room but the bass really sounds different/best at gig volume. Still waiting on last gig footage. Got another gig this Wed tho and I'll bring someone to record.

Hey, long time bro! Wow, if I got the nod from YOU, it's now officially an amazing bass!;) Lol, the way things are going with marriage equality. I'll soon be able to marry my bass and order chicks on Ebay

I know it's right for me at this stage of the game. I've always liked this forum because we can openly offer opinions on any bass, even the Warwicks we don't like. In the end, I'm glad we can be happy for each other. Yes, fine model indeed! It's like having a SS2, Thumb NT5 and Jazzman all together in harmony.....plus, it looks great on me!

Man, they were all keepers;). I've learned not to think in the long term. This one floats my boat right now. A great player and good friend of mine says it would be good for me to stick with one bass and get really familiar with it. Something I could sink me mojo into and learn to play effortlessly. I'm not sure why the SS2 was a challenge to play but this one is easy, even for slap, but so far if I had to choose 1 bass to cover it all, this is the one.

Some basses just have that something special that make you play better and with more confidence. I never realized it until my Stage 2 four string found its way into my hands. Gives me that little tickle down in my nether regions that is a bit uncomfortable, yet highly invigorating.
 
Thanks again guys. Well, I tried on my DR Fat Beams and did a 5 hour rehearsal last night. Any doubts about this bass are gone, along with the Emp's. The difference was night and day. I can't see myself using any other string in the near future. Thank you Warwick for making the bridge friendly for non tapered strings! I was shocked that I didn't have to use my vice grips. I still can't believe how many people come up and ask "what kind of bass is that?" Anyway, just wanted to put it out there re: Fat Beams. Going to bed after 3hour practice tonight for the gig tomorrow at The Key Club. Peace.
 
Quick pic from the gig 8/10/11. Got some footage on You Tube somewhere from 8/03/11 but you can only see me and the bass for a quick second. Audio was better than tonight though. There was a hd camera filming, so I'm sure the pics were good but I gotta admit my tone was off tonight because I took the Mesa Walkabout combo this week instead of my Ampeg Hlf cab with just the head from the combo. I was supposed to di out but there was no more room so, I pushed the Boogie to it's limit. Club had 20ft+ ceiling, so next time I'll over do it with the Hlf even if I have to strap it down in the back of my truck.
