Strange! I would have thought that most cases would fit Streamer basses. SKB and Gator do moulded cases that have a preformed inner lining that fits Streamers but I'm sure most manufacturers do as well.

Don't warwick make a fitted flight case for these basses ? i was thinking of getting one for my thumb nt6.

I saw a flight case that hold the bass in a gig bag that looked nice for the money.I just can't remember which on line dealer had it.

The W flight cases - definitely! here is a link, look for RockCase. Very durable cases, a bit heavy but offer great protection for the instrument.

My flight case is in the basement, it's too big and bulky for general use. TKL make a nice generic case that DOES fit a Streamer, I tried it. It'll also fit a Dolphin (its current resident) and a Fortress. SKB make great cases and I looked into them for the Dolphin when I first got it, but it seems all of their bass cases have the Fender shaped insert.

Rockbags are heaps easier than hard shell cases.Cases are great for touring, but just getting around from gig to home to studio, the bag's alot less bulky & less hassle.

Check out the SKB-44.

Excellent case - I just took a bass to China with it and I was very impressed.

I agree with Greg - I'd only bother with a hard case for touring/flying. All other times I use the deluxe RockBag that comes with the bass.

;)

So would you think the SKB-44 would fit a Corvette?

...Actually, I used the SKB-44 with my Corvette. It's really a very good fit.

:D

There is some very slight movement, which is easily rectified by packing a few small bits of foam around the bass in the required spots. I went to a place called Clark Rubber (a rubber and foam supplier), and they cut bits of foam to suit for five bucks.

Job done. Very snug, and very secure.

Got the same situation with my flight case, which has been sitting under my bed for ages. Its way too big and bulky, if i put it in the car i can't fit anything else in with it.

I stick with the rockbag, but then my wick is quite beat up already (and was fairly cheap too) so one or two more scratches won't worry me
