PL WATCH THIS VIDEO OF A TV SHOW.. ITS TAKEN DIRECT WITH MIC. .. AND SEE THE SLAP SOUND IS NOT COMING OUT....PL JUDGE THIS AND WHAT KIND OF PICK UP WILL SUIT MY PLAYING????? THIS IS THE WAY I USUALLY PLAY... I NEED A SHARP SOUND FOR FIRST AND SECOND STRINGS. HOPE THE PICK UP YOU SAID WOULD HELP ME GET IT........AM I RIGHT?

Your strings seems old, maybe newer will help, I suggest you to use DR hi beams if you want maximum brightness
 
yeah u re right..its three months old strings... and I practice on the same strings everyday...

also agree with needing possibly newer strings.
 
hey friends , I am buying PICK UP SET OF 'KENT ARMSTRONG' for the Bass Guitar Im making here. First Im gonna try the pick ups in my present Guitar.
WHAT DO U ALL FEEL ABOUT KENT ARMSTRONG PICK UPS????
It was suggested to me by a Guitar Manufaturer in USA.

ok..the pick up he uses is makin the notes clear. However, What do U feel about a slap Bass Pick up... Like Marcus Miller's sadowsky in fender

mids are slightly scooped, focused tone

this a slapped sadowsky to give you an idea other than MM

Guys Pl watch this video..I used Warwick strings in this. I fixed KENT ARMSTRONG pick ups in my old 150$ Guitar. Pl comment if the sound quality is better now.. It is yet to be mixed in the studio...

Seriously love that style man. Super sweet. I love the combination of the melodic guitar playing combined with your percussive style. Rock on man. :twisted:
 
Nice work Jayen.I can hear a difference.It now sounds crisper,better defined & more consistent between strings/notes.
 
You rre right. I ve to get my fret board also changed to avoid noice of string touches due to bend.
Anyway, I can now be in this forum confidently, since I use Warwick strings...ha ha ....
 
i just wanna say that you are becoming a very big influence in my playing style, jay :)

would you believe that i feel comfortable in 'giving up' slap and pop traditionally in exchange for your style of percussive playing? i just found a new way of doing percussive stuff with your style

You might like to check out Tony Levin's funky fingers.He tapes some drum sticks to the ends of his fingers & thumps away.I tried it,but I'm no Tony Levin. :lol:

oh, i dont do it exactly the way jay does... hehehe...

its a version i came up with which is more suitable for death metal.
 
woah, much better sounding! I knew those would be great! Still another bass from your endorser might be also a massive upgrade for your tone.
 
Thank U guys ..for the comments... Yes the sounding is still to be improved.. The diffrence now is surely due to kent armstrong pick ups and warwick strings....
I ve to get my new guitar made and fix good fret wires....

I PLAYED BASS LIKE TABLA ALMOST..... THIS IS INDIAN STYLE PLAYING...I MEAN.. REAL TRADITIONAL WAY. HOPE YOU ALL WILL LIKE IT.....?????????????????????????
