New Preamp Suggestion for Warwick Thumb BO 5.

Well, I love the Thumb look and sound, but it's preamp is so-so. I'd like a more versatile preamp while keeping the Thumb sound. I also don't want to drill any holes. I still want the thumb sound and a little more. The Treble is also pretty hissy.

If you do recommend a preamp, can you please post a link?

Also, additional information I can use help with. Can someone help me on where I can find a JAN3?

I also plan to put on wooden knobs in the future. :)
I want to personalize my Thumb.
 
aguilar obp 3. you can get the 3 with a stack bass/treble, and push/pull mids, and stacked dual volume, so you fill the 3 holes easily!
 
for the JANIII, call Dana B. Goods at 805-644-6621
they'll hook you up with one for free.
 
Could look into an MEC 3 band EQ as it'll be like the 2 band but with slightly different treble and a mid control. It will keep the thumb tone as its partly in the MEC electronics.

They can make you whatever type of knobs you want.

These are cocobola with a maple stripe indicator.

Yep, that was the only part I didn't like about them, however, not enough to take them off. I think I am going to shave them down a little bit.

Aare wood knobs expensive?

I would like them to be caped bubinga knobs with afzelia burl at the top.
 
audere makes amazing preamps. Saved my Cort from the "to sell" list and it is now getting more attention than my Musicman Bongo!!
