Incoming!!! (show Us Your New Stuff Before You Actually Have It)

Tomorrow I get my new Warwick TeamBuilt Thumb BO 5. My first fretted warwick. (I have two fretless) I’m so excited about getting some thumb nastiness in my life. First up I will playing dirty blues.

and here it is. The tone is killer. Finish is perfect. The wood is plainer than I thought it might be. Found out I don’t like stainless strings or the Warwick strap locks. Replaced with NYXL snd schaller strap locks. Looking forward to jamming with my trio on Sunday. It’s going to be nasty. I use an anagram pedal so I will able to try some different pedal chains live jamming. Super exciting!

Remember when I used to be a bass player? ;)

I really love the whole concept of a "desktop synth" (basically a synth without a keyboard). I already have plenty of MIDI keyboards, why waste money and space on more?

The first of these is a clone of the Prophet 6, with some added modern features. The draw for me? An 8-voice poly synth for less than $400US.

The second synth is based on the Korg MS-20, a legendary mono synth in industrial music, due to its extra-grungy filter. It's on sale, but backordered. The Pro 800 should be here in a few days.
