Incoming!!! (show Us Your New Stuff Before You Actually Have It)

Hey! I bought a new strap too a couple of weeks ago, but was so busy I didn't brag about it, haha.

It's a black, super comfy, leather, 10cm wide (that's almost 4 "freedom centimetres", for you in the USA), Bourbon Strap (made in Spain).

Pics to come.

The seller is a musician who retired from his daily job and is leaving Germany to live in... Italy! He also has a fine 1987 Streamer offered. He just wants to get rid of some of his gear but swears that everything is fine. He also knows details like volute/non volute Warwick basses etc. He also ownes another 1986 Thumb and keeps that one. A friend of mine lives near the sellers place and will pick it up!
Also a nice 86' Streamer (I think it's a 84 or 85) , though electronics updated to 2nd generation, on the market

I already had a black one in the Seabrook, Texas location where my Thumb NT5 fretless is, but I wanted to travel light with one carry on bag (which was already half full on mom's stuff) on the Southwest flight to Pensacola. And that Southwest now charges 80 dollars extra to check a bag-
is that a passive Corvette??

Didn't post here for a full month. Am making progress with my gear acquisition syndrom?
... nope. Gravity rack for 5 guitars/basses and an ART Cleanbox Pro were silently added to my ever growing stack of stackness. I can finally put all my instruments in racks now instead of having a few on the couch permanently.

Oh and this is what the Cleanbox does:

My newest acquisition is in Hamburg right now! Waiting to get it here soon! And do you see the amp...?

The story is quite funny so far! The seller is 79 years old and sells all his stuff for low prices. The bass was offered "shipping included". And not only the bass. Also included was an Trace Elliot Ah 500-12 amp and a Zeck 2x15 cabinet. But when I had a call with the seller he just said: "Nahhh, I won´t pack any stuff and ship it! Come around and pick it up!". The place is 450 km away and I have NO time for travelling! But then I remembered a friend who just moved to Hamburg. Hamburg is not too far away from the sellers place, still it´s one hour for one direction by train. My friend agreed to pick up the bass. So I called the seller and told him that I would lower the price a bit and he can keep the amp and the cabinet. He agreed and also took a train to Hamburg to meet my friend! Nice "move"! But then the seller called me and told me "Damn, that amp is heavy ass hell!". 😅 I did not think that he will bring the amp too! One hour later my friend called me and shouted "Whazzzafack! That amp! You didn´t tell me about that thing! It is heavy as hell!". 😂 I replied: "Don´t complain! You are in Hamburg and it´s NOT raining!" Such a lucky guy! Some people showed mercy and took him by car to his flat. Now he knows how a roady feels! It weights 17 kg btw. A light weight against an Ampeg. 🥳

Congratulations - always love a Thumb NT. And thank you for the heartwarming story!

Those amps sound pretty sweet too! But yeah... Biased.
