Incoming!!! (show Us Your New Stuff Before You Actually Have It)

I just bought this too! How do you like it so far?
Let us know how it works for you- I have a Boss pedal that I confess I've yet to try out- but in my case I'm looking for Moog or keyboard bass treatments of the 1980's commonly used for R&B pop music. Nothing wild and crazy mind you-

Mine's not in yet. Sweetwater told me August. Do you have yours already?
Hey Steve sorry I don’t seem to get emails from the forum when there are responses anymore. Yeah I got mine a few weeks ago. It’s pretty fun. Not as complicated as the C4 , more of a plug and play pedal. The 8 presets are usable, but the fun starts when you start spinning the dials. I’ve had a lot of fun with that. Haven’t recorded with it yet. The tracking seems good, getting occasional farty sounds but putting that down to me I guess. Just an fyi it comes preset to 5 string mode so changing it to 4 gets better tracking. Only thing I don’t like is when you’re trying to change universal settings (like 4 or 5 string) there’s no visual confirmation that you’ve done so. As for how well it does 80s synth sounds, there are a lot of videos out there now, best to watch those since I can’t hear what’s in anyone’s head.

Ok, I don´t need another bass... 🤪 Found this one in like new condition on Kleinanzeigen for a really good price. I already own the short scale version. Nice "I don´t care" basses to go!

A little belted as these recently arrived- but food for thought(s). Has anyone availed thenselvn of these? I'm in the process of rebuilding my guitar pedalboard.

So- in my new abode, playing straight out my bass amp just ain't happenin' (or so asks the high-rise management) so I have had go adapt.

Here's what I got- I can play out the headphones jack of my TC Electronic RH-450 and get a decent sound out of my Yamaha speaker system (two HS5 studio monitors and an HS8 subwoofer at modes levels. If I'm working out cover tunes I can do it with this Bluetooth transmitter/receiver plugged into the aux jack on the RH450 head.

So I Bluetooth this from my iMac into the RH450 since the sound system is plugged into the headphones out jack with a 3.5 mm to 1/4 inch stereo adapter.

In order to faciitate switching from the Mac's 3.5 mm output and the RH450 aux jack without clicks and pops, I bought a four way switcher that can select either the phones out on the bass amp, guitar amp, or the computer- a lot more convenient than unplugging and replugging and rerouting the cable amidst all the cables behind the computer!

Finally for late nights when I want to make certain I don't disturb anyone- the Boss Waza Air wireless headset for bass. It is the bomb with regard to bass headphone amps. It also has a Bluetooth with studio untidily in the smartphone and can play music for practice as well-

Had been thinking about it the past couple of days- then realized I had to get organized- getting drawn back to guitar composition and preformation out of necessity - no worries - I still prefer bass=

A D'Addario Collapsible Pedalboard- A gave my previous one, a double size Pedaltrain to a guitarist friend back in 2018-

Ditto regarding the Voodoo Labs Pedalpower 3 Plus- Got a couple of higher voltage pedals to power, a reissue of a Deluxe Electric Mistress flanger (24 V) and reissue of an old school Univibe Reissue (18 V)-

Had to do something- just couldn't take it anymore-

And that doesn't include an EHX Pulsar Tremolo, the Electric Mistress, Univibe, a compressor, reverb, etc..!

So, one thing I don't have on hand is a humbucker equipped guitar with a whammy bar- and having purchased and being impressed with the Ibanez GIO Bass (P-J pickups) which passed muster with my luthier friend when I brought ii in for a setup for the money, I decided to go for one of the guitars-

Another thing is I'm not so inclined to bring or leave my more expensive guitars to impromptu jams where I don't know the other musicians and small venues where I may be just playing for free-

For 219.00 USD and favorable reviews for that class- I had to give it a shot- which will be two firsts for me- An 80's style super Strat and something in purple-

Played the Ibby at the band rehearsal yesterday. Decided to hate this bass!!! It beats all of my other basses! How can this be? Sits PERFECTLY in the mix, growls like hell, nicely playable, whatever. This all for 278,- Euro used/439,- Euro new???

So I also ordered cable adapters for the very versatile Voodoo Labs Pedal Power 3 Plus-

A voltage doubler that can provide 18 or 24 volts from the two 9/12 outputs on the Power 3 Plus. Which in my case can power my Deluxe Electric Mistress or Univibe.

But to accommodate the Electric Mistress, I need to reverse the standard polarity of center negative post to center positive, which is provided by Voodoo Labs polarity reversing adapter cable-

Finally there is the 9 volt adapter for my old school MXR Phase 90 which doesn’t have an adapter plug in the chassis-

i'm very happy with my Cioks DC7 which will power my pedalboard which is in the making, I'll also use an original 90's EHX Big Box QTron, which needs 24V, but with two outputs set to 12V and this cable, no problem
