Getting a Streamer $$ with the Corvette $$ NT specs ?

I step onto StuZ's topic, but I was wondering what you guys thought about these specs:


-Streamer $$
-Ash Body
-Maple neck
-Ebony fretboard.


I mean, sound-wise, how do you reckon it would be ???


(Don't worry, it's not gonna replace my blue Streamer LX6 project, that's just the idea of a "simple" 4 stringer that will come after my LX6...)

Those are the same specs as StuZ's modified idea. It will definitely have a BRIGHT tone, that's for sure!

I'd say it will have a classic bright (not too bright) tone: more articulate than your current bass due to the Maple neck..........I think........ 8)

I think that Ash body will compensate for the neck/fretboard brightness, huh ?

No worries, Ian.

Well, the only difference from the production Streamer $$ (which sounds awesome) is the fretboard wood. Certainly ebony is brighter than wenge, but I didn't mean to imply it would be too bright, necessarily. I guess it would be pure speculation as to how much the ebony will effect the overall tone. I do think Florin touches on it though, it would be a great slap bass.
