Just watched it while visiting with family over the holiday- beautiful film!Another good film of his is To Sir, With Love. Not as powerful as In The Heat Of The Night, but still a decent film.
Every October I do a lot of horror films. Most of them end up sucking (or being unintentionally funny) but last night's film "Apostle" was pretty good. Some of the dialogue could use some work ("your eyes.... you've seen things") but overall, this was genuinely creepy. It pulls off the Stephen King-like trick of scaring you with the supernatural, but scaring you far worse with just simple human nature. I think it's exclusively on Netflix.
