Finally got to watch "Intergalactic". Nice atmosphere. Too bad the end of it is cheesy and predictable.

Jungle cruise with my girls was very fun. Pretty funny movie and an enjoyable yet familiar world. IF you are looking for a fun night with the fam I highly recommend (as long as you can stand The Rock and his humour)

I hope The Matrix 4 is, at least, an entertaiment movie, I don't care anymore about all this overthinking movement that has become watching movies/series, like if everybody is a bloody expert.

I only want to have a couple of hours of joy, get lost into the big-screen rabbit hole and come back after they turn on the lights again. I don't even care if the Wachowski Brothers are now Sisters. I'm only asking for an entertaiment movie.

Wish me good luck...

After watching a bunch of overhyped and silly horror movies this weekend, I finally found a good sci-fi thriller last night in the form of I Am Mother.

Last night at a friend's house we watched Titane. I'm still not sure what I think about it, which is one reason I'm recommending it. It seems like a lot of the symbolism didn't really hit me until after it was over, at which point I wanted to watch it again, just to see if I could puzzle it out. Don't get me wrong, there's a plot that can be followed. But it's so odd that it really invites an allegorical interpretation. Warning: it's fairly intense and graphic.

Trace, a short film about Vikings in Norsk with Norwegian actors. Who would've thought?

Well, since I signed-up for Netflix a month ago, it has been throwing tons of Christmas movies as suggestions. So, I watched Krampus... Not your typical "feel-good" Christmas movie. Far from it to be exact...

I rather enjoyed "Creep" the other night. A pretty good twist on the "recovered footage" genre of horror.

Another good film of his is To Sir, With Love. Not as powerful as In The Heat Of The Night, but still a decent film.
Just watched it while visiting with family over the holiday- beautiful film!

Just watched Don't Look Up in Netflix... I can recommend it. Don't watch it if you are depressed...

Saw Charlie Wilson's War last night, as well as The Man Who Killed Hitler And Then The Bigfoot.

OK, this isn't exactly Citizen Kane, but it's a lot of fun, especially if you're a metalhead. And it was actually quite a bit better than I thought it would be.

Every October I do a lot of horror films. Most of them end up sucking (or being unintentionally funny) but last night's film "Apostle" was pretty good. Some of the dialogue could use some work ("your eyes.... you've seen things") but overall, this was genuinely creepy. It pulls off the Stephen King-like trick of scaring you with the supernatural, but scaring you far worse with just simple human nature. I think it's exclusively on Netflix.

Ever seen Troll 2?

Seriously though, one of my favourite Youtube channels is Red Letter Media, they go through all sort of films and break them down into what is good and what is not so good and why...
