I saw the other day Dinner for Schmucks, the "American" version of the french movie "Le Diner des Cons". It´s very funny and a good friend told me to watch the original.

Le Diner des Cons is one of the best films to come out of French Cinema in the 90s. It's not a "feel good" movie though, more the French bitter sweet uncertainty type of film. I haven't seen the American remake, but I heard it wasn't anything compared to the original.

Bienvenue Chez Des Ch'tis is also fabulous!

depends on who's asking
I saw Dead Pool recently and it is absolutely hysterical. It has some of the best one liners ever! It is as much a comedy as it is an action film.

Le Dîner de Cons is a French Classic. Never saw the Schmuck dinner thing, but ust the trailer doesn't make justice to the original. I highly recommend to see it with subtitles. Great movie.

A movie I seen a few weeks ago was called "American Ultra". It's about this stoner guy who doesn't relize how much of a badass he really is.

Check it out if you get a chance

Wings of Desire (Der Himmel über Berlin) - philosophical

Classic Wim Wenders film, which I saw many years ago and re-watched it again, recently. There is an American remake of it that came out in the 1990's with Nicolas Cage, called City of Angels, although it's not as good.

I'm more of a documentary geek, but I'm a sucker for pretty heavy dramas and the occasional action flick. Here are some other decent films, in no apparent order:

Paradise Lost (1,2,3)
Being There
The Strangers
Ex Machina
After.Life
Chloe
Wit

Some of my favorites:

State of Grace, The Omen, Miracle.

Miracles is especially great. Kurt Russell nailed the role of Coach Herb as the 1980 US men's hockey team beat the Soviets

My wife & I love a good movie, it's great just to get lost in it when it's a good one. Although women do tend to talk a lot during movies...
