Cheap reproductions

oh my lawd,whatta find this is,well done wolfman.Their site says it has an arched top & concave back,like a real thumb.I wonder how much.

I think it's that superb tonewood otherwise known as ikea pine,or is it particle board?plywood!thats the gear bro. :wink:

& that name,westfield,here we have westfield but theyre huge shopping centres. :lol:

I played a 5-string one the other day, think it was about £250. didn't feel too bad, but sound was disapointing.

yeah could be plywood :D :D at first glance i thought i read Westone, they made some nice metal axes back in the eighties 8)

Not really a fake as the seller admits the neck change.... Let's call it a hybrid :D
 
All the great producers started with ripp offs;-))

Warwicks first and second Model where the Nobby Meidel and the Streamer
all based on Ned Steinbergers designs, so adapting a beautifull guitar doesn't mean automatically that you produce bullshit.
Look at PRS or Lakland or name it:-)

probably the 95 Euro Ripp Offs are worth 99:-))

they were not "based on", the nobby was designed WITH mr steinberger, and the streamer was built under spector license :D

all the basses on these pages are only cheap ripoffs, i've actually played a couple spectors i liked, but never found a 99$ bass that sounded good 8)
 
it even make it clear on the e-bay pager that it is a thumb copy :)

lol the thing that made me smile about this one was the two peice bridge...ace :wink:

although to be honest im a fan of shine guitars. we were donated one by a music shop and its absolutly drop dead gorgeous. :D
 
That one looks totally weird. Neck/PUs/bridge looks shifted downwards on the body. Me no likey...

you got it all wrong: it's actually a custom built rip off Thumb: the customer wanted the pickups that way.......... :lol:
 
Kinda off topic... any one seen Teisco guitars?

I saw 'em first in John Entwistles collection... whcih includes a smashed buzzard...
