look what i've found on italian e-bay :D
horrible imitation isn't it?

if you find other warwick-inspired pieces of junk like this, post them here :D

A blatant Buzzard knock-off if there ever was one!

A friend of mine said he'd seen some Warwick imitations floating around the Detroit area a while back, and that these basses were of oriental origin and NOT Rock Basses.

I haven't run across any myself, but I'll keep an eye open.

another warwick wannabe?

at least this one doesnt totally look like crap

looks heavy as hell
:D :D

Those are pretty grim.

That's a shameless knock-off, but a real laugh to look at!

I'll bet the J.S. bach estate is really proud of it.

Do those pickups have some kind of plastic-wrap covering on them, or is that a guard against testicular cancer?

hey guys, heres a couple rip offs.I find looking at cheap shit like this cures my constipation.

Uggghh! Horrid!! These remind me of the genuine Lester McPaul Deluxe I once saw hanging up in a music store (no joke!!)...

'Looks like mandolin fret wire on the 'ol Sledge Hammer!

Keep those ugly knock-offs coming, troops!

It might be good ammunition for Warwick's legal department.

that's a dean bass isn't it?

That's interesting.

Comapnies like Dean, BC Rich and Schecter made some very unique and exiting instruments back in the late 1970's and early '80's.
Now it appears that they are importing everything and are only shadows of the companies that they used to be.

When I was younger I remember seeing the Schecter basses that were based on Fenders, but had exotic woods & hot pickups. The Schecter catalog was full of goodies that allowed the Fender guys to trick out their basses with bodies and necks made from a number of different woods.

I'd get all drippy-eyed, thinking of the bygone days when you could build a Jazz Bass out of stuff like that.

Then the Thumb Bass came along and I forgot all about Fenders & Schecters.

The picture of the Vester is the picture above the Dean, heh heh heh.

i was thinking about getting a custom warwick one day with my surname, Bach, on it, but i've changed my mind now....haha

I see this morning that Bass Northwest has a blonde Dean Sledge Hammer on their website for the princely sum of $399.00

Now let's not be running over each other to call them with our credit card numbers. Hee hee.

that is the bargain of a lifetime!! hahaha :D

i'm sure there's a reason why it's cheap :D
