what the &*&#@?? I hope it wasnt priced as a thumb., for the sake of the poor sod that buys it.

at least there's the headstock pic with the blurry dean logo..
 
All those basses are missing style and personality. Only a Warwick can look and sound like that.
 
You've got that right Oliver!

It sure is a laugh to see Dean, which back in the late '70's had a reputation for building great 6 string guitars sink to the lowly state of importing lousy knock-offs.
 
Yes, it's sad, and it's also one of the uggliest basses I've seen, why not paint it pink as well :?:

Personally I believe these cheap rip offs should be taken to a designated place upon the next full moon & sacrificed to our bass god(ess).

Malk,it's good to see some quality copies rather than just the cheap & nasty ones,I checked out the MB bass website ( i dont understand italian unfortunatly) & I found it pretty impressive.cheers matey,

I can totally see what you mean. That's clearly a Dolphin and a Thumb. I checked their website and it looks like they go more for the Fodera-looking bass. I could not see too much creativity in their work.
 
This thread reminds me of a saying,"immitation is the ultimate form of flattery".I think it applies more to people rather than objects though. :wink:
