problems

Everytime I pluck my d-string, the piece of the saddle that the string on rests comes right with it. (See image below.) This is making it extremely difficult to play and if my string breaks, the piece goes flying with it as nothing is holding it in place. Can anyone help me out here?

Hi, the walnut on my P-Nut has shrunk considerably more than the purpleheart. Now one can feel and see the joint easily. It is a lot more than the regular thing on laminated necks. Any recommendations (sanding etc.) thx
