I find out MEC preamp on my Hot Rod drains battery easily. I like the sound after changing new battery inside it. Any other battery has longer life than Duracell ? :(

Out of curiousity how long do the strings you use last you guys on average. for me as i use both my bases regularly at gigs the Black labels last about 2 months (before boiling) and the D'addario XL's about 1 month.. how about you guys?
