Out of curiousity how long do the strings you use last you guys on average.
for me as i use both my bases regularly at gigs the Black labels last about 2 months (before boiling) and the D'addario XL's about 1 month..
how about you guys?

I use the same strings, both Black Label and XL's and they last about 3 months (for my taste).

Ernie Balls feel and sound great for about a week! Stay clear of them....

One of the things with the life of strings is that you barely notice the slow deterioation of the strings, you notice it first when you change them. If you have the possability try to record som scales etc on the computor when they are new, after two weeks and so on, then you can compare the sound quality over time. Just a tip / mats
