I mentioned in an earlier topic that I have a 1998 Corvette FNA that I purchased off of Warwick. It's in real good condition with only a few minor dings, but my big gripe is that there seems to be a white/lime green substance embedded in the open grain of my wenge fretbaord (Lime stain...
Wondering if anyone else's wenge fretboard is bumpy? I can feel the grain (which sounds sort of stupid) on the side of mine. I took the strings off a few days ago and was cleaning/oiling my fretboard and noticed along both sides I can feel the grain. Must be the way they cut it or something, But...
ive noticed some white muck has started building on my fretboard, looks like a combination between skin + dirt, im going to take off all my strings in a week or two, whats hte best tihng to get this off? some sort of steel wool and rub it off?
Hey guys! I have a Thumb 4 NT with a hazy ebony fretboard. I bought the bass used in new condition off of Ebay and this is the way it came to me. Just wondering if there is a way anyone knows of to restore it to its former shining glory. Also, this is not way affects the sound, just the bass...

The ebony fretboard on my new Corvette $$ fretless is a bit light and streaky in places for my tastes. Now I understand that not all ebony is blacker than black, and that a lot of it is stained anyway... so how do you...

1. - maple?
2. - ebony?
3. - pau ferro?
A. What do you think?
B. I also added a poll: are you thinking about...
First question; is the ebony fretboards on the thumb finished? and, what is the best stuff to take care of the fretboard? I was looking at Dean Markley love potion #15, but it says its for unfinished finger boards. my fretboard has some dull spots on it and iam trying to get rid of them :)
