    Rockbass: Dead or Alive?

Sorry if this has been answered before. I got on the net today wanting to check out the Rockbass line for my twelve year old son. How I fixed a dead new string.

I think I just figured something out with my strings. I put on a new set of strings on one of my basses a few weeks ago. I noticed that my A and D strings were nice, bright and punchy but my G string was a little darker and my E strings was really dark and dead sounding. It was like the...

E string dead spots and howling open note

Hi. I just got myself a corvette double buck and this is my first post. When I first got the bass, the neck had a bit more relief than Id like, so I gave it a quarter turn and let it sit overnight. The truss rod was a bit hard to turn, so I didnt try to force it harder than how much force I used...

Alright Warwick people, I've been away from the forum what seems like an eternity, since being in and out of the studio doing th new record, and various personal bits here and everywhere, things seem to be getting back to normal. Anyways, the new Rotted record will be out on Metal Blade 30th...

    Dead EMP's after 1 gig??

The B string has lost all sustain and sounds dead....now obviously boiling is going to ruin the coating that makes EMPs good, but maybe soaking in alcohol? The EMPs on the other bass have been on longer and still going strong...hmmm

    Dead spot disappeared... :-)

I just made some serious maintenance on my Vette $$-5 tonight. Changed strings to a new set of B-labels, cleaned the finger board from stuff (which belongs to another planet ,oh dear, ewe). Changed nut from JAN2 to JAN3. I've always had this enjoying "dead spot" on the E-string/5th fret (A)...

To bring back a dead and frequently visited topic

besides tapered strings for my Thumb 5, what other options do I have? I can pinch the string at the saddle and stop piece so it will fit in both locations, but other than that....is there an upgraded bridge and tailpiece out there???? If so I wold but it in a heartbeat.

My Warwick Thumb is dead ... is dead ...

My 2004 Warwick Thumb BO bass (5 strings) is dead ....... The repair technician told me that the truss-rod in my bass is completely dead. The neck is forward bow now and he can't tighten truss-rod anymore. SAD ! SAD ! I really love Thumb than my Hot Rod 2005 LTD. But luckily, Hot Rod...

Dead spot on a bass that isn't a Warwick

Right guy's I know this is a Warwick forum, but some of us are stoopid enough to like other basses as well. Maybe I've been spoilt by my 'vette, but there is a fairly severe dead spot on my (brand new, even got the bar code) MM Sterling on the E at the 5th. To my mind not a common place...

    Dead spots on a Corvette?

At a Jam last night a Fender Jazz player felt he had to point out that there was a dead spot on the neck of my Corvette. I've checked acoustically and found nothing. I've checked thro the practice amp and found nothing. I can only draw the following conclusions: 1. My hearing is going and...
